“Great restaurant for Gourmet Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2014

Wonderful restaurant. Serves small tastes between each course. Service is great. If you order an appetizer, main dish and dessert, it might be too much to eat. But it is hard to resist.

“A Wonderful Surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014 via mobile

We were staying at a nearby hotel and Di a search for interesting restaurants online. The Kitchen came up and was described as eclectic, farm to table. We loved it from beginning to end. The service was good. The food was fantastic with lots of quirky surprises. After we placed our order we were told that it would be 30 minutes as everything is fresh and made to order. We ordered a bottle of wine which was just barely drinkable (all their wine is from New Jersey) and settled in for the wait. The server brought us a tasting of beet gazpacho which was terrific and unexpected. Next we tasted a chicken mousse on a crisp followed by 3 additional wonderful tastings. The 30 minutes went by quickly while we tasted, sipped and discussed the experience so far. Then the main courses arrived. I had the pork chop with apricot glaze. My husband had the chicken dish (not the fried). Both were superb! If we lived in the area, we would become regulars. If you get an opportunity, go!

“Wonderful fried chicken and appetizers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

Don't order any appetizers at this downtown Englewood down-home eatery, because the waitstaff will bring you, gratis, 5 different, delicious and imaginative amuse-bouches while you wait for your food. In 3 visits I have not ordered anything but the fried chicken and honey waffles, which is a half bird pan fried with buttermilk gravy on the side and sweet waffles. Absolutely delicious. Parking is on the street or in the free (after 6 PM) municipal parking garage a block away. The downside is that this place is amazingly noisy when crowded, like on a Saturday night. You literally can't hear the person across the table from you. So loud that it almost hurts. Noise is no problem on a week night. One of our party said that this was the best fried chicken she had ever eaten. Although the young staff really hustles on Saturday night, service was slow. Bring your own alcoholic beverages, or choose from a small selection of wines. There are a couple of outdoor tables on the sidewalk.

“Casual yet lovely dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

The food here is really good, service is great, and it honestly wasn't as pricey as I was expecting (but perhaps that's because we didn't drink any alcohol). But for my husband and myself, it was $108 before tip and we each got an app, entree, and dessert for ourselves. We were stuffed, but the food was very well-prepared and it was a nice date night experience without being too fancy or stuffy. Definitely worth a visit!

After you order, they bring you little hors d'oeuvres before your appetizers arrive. I think I would have liked it better if they also had cocktails on the menu, but the only alcohol they have is wine (by the bottle), which is always a major rip off at restaurants. However, many other tables did bring their own bottles, but not sure if they charge a corkage fee since they have their own (small) wine list.

“Top Restaurant in Englewood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

Excellent dinner. Food was exceptional and the little tastes of food that came out were excellent. There were so many tastes that you really don't need to order an appetizer. We will go back again.
