“More Than Just Pizza”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

We like their pizza as a take out so we Went on a snowy Saturday, a party of 5 for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly server and seating selection was not an issue. There were about 4 other tables occupied. The dining area is remodeled from the previous occupant, Rosa's. It's actually quite nice. BYOB with entertainment Fri. and Sat. nights, although entertainment was cancelled the night we went due to weather. That was OK with us. We started with the cold antipasto salad (huge portion, nicely dressed) and mussels fra diavlo (nice sauce but not so big). The entrees were delicious- grilled chicken over broccoli rabe instead of spinach, cavatelli with broccoli, chicken saltimbocca and chicken parm.
Very tasty and satisfying. Service was friendly but a little slow, food came out hot and very fresh.
Will definitely go back. Prices run around $15 per entree, and come with a pasta side.

“Good Local Pizza”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

One of the better local pizza places. Food is fresh, tasty. Service is excellent. Location on a major road with parking in the back.

“Rosa's is now Franco's: more than a name change”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Rosa's (now renamed Franco's) is under new ownership and a serious upgrade to the quality of food and other offerings. The proprietor, Nino, has added weekend musical entertainment and hired a wonderful chef to bring New York quality Italian cooking to the NJ suburbs (while keeping the NY prices across the river where they belong). Nino is a true Italian, personable and service oriented. He is always thinking of ways to bring new twists to traditional standards. He just added a "quatro" pizza (4 sections with braided dough dividers) for those who like variety or who have friends with different tastes in toppings. I've been eating at Rosa/Franco's for years and see a real improvement in the ambiance and the cucina italiana.

“Better Than Others In The Area!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

It's all about the sauce and if the "main man" is doing the cooking, it's ALL good. My elderly Dad can't each many foods that do not disagree with him. He loves Sausage and Peppers, but if the sauce is too acidic, it doesn't love him back. We've tried others like Pompillio's, Esposito's, Casa Maselli and Savino's. While Savino's is very good, my Dad says that the one chef at Franco's has their Sausage and Peppers beat! These people are so nice and go the distance to make sure to toast the bread. Dad likes their meatballs too and their chicken noodle soup is outstanding! We only go here when we order hot sandwiches and soup!

Went as a family. Good place for children. Food was good with nice size portions. My husband was satisfied. Next time I'll have to try their pizza.
