“Horrible service”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

I'm from Philly and we were staying the weekend last September at the Days Inn on Tilton Rd Egg Harbor. We were at the mall one day and asked someone that worked there where we could get cheap drinks and good food around there. She told us either Tilton Inn or Diamond Diner. So, we decided to go to the diner since we were curious to see a diner with a bar. We got there at about 8pm on a Friday night. There was a couple people in the bar and the bartender nowhere to be found. We waited for about 5 minutes for the bartender to show up, apparently she was smoking a cigarette. Well, when she came in she gave us an attitude like we were interrupting her cigarette break! We stayed for a couple drinks only to find out this was more of a biker bar then a nice bar with cheap drinks. We decided to leave and go to the Tilton Inn which we more impressed with. To say the least, the bartender/service was bad, but I guess that's the kind of service you get for $1 beers!!

“Classic family run diner with good food and plenty of it!”
Reviewed May 31, 2011

We drove past this place on the way to our hotel and kept it in mind as a possible place for breakfast the next morning as we prefer to patronize local places instead of chains when we're on the road. We were not disappointed. I had pancakes and sausage with a side of homefries and my dining partner had an omelet. Although the portions were large, we both won clean plate awards at this meal!

While we were there, there was a steady stream of customers coming in and you could tell that a lot of them were regulars who were greated bythe staff by name. Kudos to whomever their most recent decorator is, the wood trim on the booths matched the wood trim on the walls and ceilings.--a very warm and appealing atmosphere. A nice departure from your usual diner chrome.
