“An Outback is an Outback”
Review of Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse
Certificate of Excellence
Cuisines: American
Description: Its about 1 mile west of the Holiday Inn Express , located on Rt 322/40 aka Blackhorse pike, its in a shopping center (forgot nme) on the eastbound side, just west of the N.J. Parkway. Mapquest will not show the correct location. Its a large shopping area with many different stores & eateries & Outback is in "the Back" of the area.

“An Outback is an Outback”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

During our evacuation because of Sandy, we ate at this location twice.
I had the lobster tail steak special. The food was tasty, but the steak was tougher than it should be at "a steak joint."
The service the first night was poor. We sat for 15 minutes and never saw our server, We finally snagged another waitress and ordered drinks. When our server did arrive, she mumbled an apology, but was still curt and abrupt.
The second night the server was much better.
We did take advantage of the half price appetizer during happy hour (before 6:30).We had the Bloomin' onion, It was good, but much too greasy.

So the bottom line is that when you visit an Outback you know what to expect. The only variable is the service.
This spot like most gets quite busy with a waiting line building up after 6:15.

“Poor Service”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

I love Outback but this was a poor restaurant in an otherwise good franchise, poor service and wrong or missing items from the menu when service finally arrived. Staff couldn't apologise enough and seemed really attentive under difficult circumstances - I think the chefs were making the mistakes and I watched a couple of other tables complain too. The staff were great the presentation of the food as ordered was poor.

“Tough Steak”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Three of our group of four had steak and much of it was tough. I had the chicken quesadilla and while tasty, it was slightly burned on the bottom. I doubt any of us would eat there again.

“Great Food”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We don't normally eat in restaurants as we prefer to have the buffet at the different casinos. We went to this restaurant for the first time.

The next time we will phone ahead to make a reservation. We waited 40 minutes to be seated but the wait was worth it. The food was fantastic. The service was very efficient.

We had the New York sirloin and the filet mignon both were excellent. Be sure to try their ceasar salad and their blooming onion. The price was average.
