Wife daughter and I visited Bonefish grill while on a weekend visit to AC for a kids athletic event. There aren't a lot of exciting choices in Egg Harbor so Bonefish gets crowded early. We went at 5:30pm in January and there was a 30 minute wait. We ended up at a shared bar table and had a great time. The service was outstanding, prompt, friendly and accurate.
Wife and I had a cup of corn chowder which was thick, hearty and overall excellent. It had a nice creamy, smoky, corn taste with a few chunks of lump crabmeat. The chowder was filling though. Wife had fish tacos which were outstanding, I ended up eating one of hers. They were light with grilled fish and avocado. I had fish and chips. They were good, but I'm always reminded why I shouldn't order them; too filling, too "deep fried", but the fish was tasty if that's your thing. Daughter had appetizer crab cakes which weren't great, no lump crab, too much filler, but crab cakes clearly aren't their signature.
Regarding the other comment that the area is shady, it's nonsense. Parking lot was crowded, very well lit, and in no way in a shady area.
We picked Bonefish based on TA reviews and we were not dissapointed.
