We went to this loacation because my daughters birthday was coming up and she was going back to college the next morning, so we were looking for someplace local. Tradition is she gets Habachi for her birthday. We arrived and had to wait for our son who was across the street at the mall. They would not seat us until he arrived. So we had to wait another 20 minutes.
Once seated the waiter came over and took our drink orders right away. Things started to look up. He came back and took our appetizer and dinner orders, (food was priced right along the same lines as other Japanese steakhouses in the area).
The soup was an onion style soup, not bad, then came the salad which appeared fresh, I'm not big on filler. The appetizers were served, my wife and daughter shared the tempura shrimp and I had the tempura calamari, they were fine.
The chef came and cooked our meals, there was plenty of food. I had steak and shrimp, cooked to perfection. The only down side was he first cooked the and served zucchini, then ten minutes later cooked and served the mushrooms and the after we were almost finished cooked and served us what apperaed to be a plate full of onions, not sure what we were supposed to do with the onions at this time. Every other habachi place we have been they are all combined and served together with the meal.
The ptroble began after we were done eating and tried to get a check. Not one of the staff acknowleged we were there for almost 20 minutes. Once we got the check it was another 20 minutes to pay. We came close to getting up and leaving wihout paying.
Not going back.
