We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. The front desk staff is outstanding-- very warm and welcoming. They always recognize my SPG Gold status with perks and I do appreciate this. The rooms are always clean and comfortable with nice amenities. But we are very frustrated by the restaurant. Let me start by saying that once you get the food you ordered, it will be well prepared and very tasty. In this most recent visit the problem was clearly with our server. She was nice and polite, but apparently not well trained. I order my fillet mignon medium rare and she put the order in as medium well. Fortunately (and to his/her credit) the chef questioned this and asked if he could butterfly the meat. At this point my order was corrected. My wife was not so lucky. Her NY strip came out medium well even though she ordered it medium rare. The kitchen had to redo the order so I ate my fillet while she waited for her steak. As I said, once the proper order came the food was delicious. A supervisor did come and apologize for the mixup and gave my wife a complimentary dessert. For some reason making up the check was a major challenge. I had given the server a gift certificate for part of the amount and a credit card for the rest. The gift certificate didn't get credited and I had to send the check back for correction. Apparently, this overwhelmed the system and necessitated the involvement of the supervisor and the front desk. My final bill had no fewer than seven debits and credits for the same meal!

I'll still go back to this hotel. I may think twice about the restaurant but being that the food is good, I'll just start out with a few drinks and lots of patience!!

The service was great especially Maggie at bar restaurant. She is very professional and nice. I really feel that that makes the stay special. I enjoyed the food and the location is convenient . As far as the service throughout the hotel it was very good and the front desk staff was great. I hope that if you are seeking a good place to stay in Nj to stay here.

The utmost professionalism and the friendliest of service from the front line service at the restaurant and bar- in particular, Nadia, Maggie and John. The seek to rise above the accepted Norma of service that is to commonly displayed at other hotels. Furthermore, they maintain a certain decorum when they are confronted with an onslaught of customers from the many conventions and meetings that take place.

Service at its best!

The bar is a MUST stop. Maggie is the BEST bartender in this area. I have stopped at nearby hotels and none like this bar. I am always here because of the staff. Am like family here. They know me by name from the front desk, bar and kitchen. What more can I ask for? Big thumbs up :-)

This hotel has a very friendly staff and they aim to please. I stayed in a standard room with a king sized bed on the club floor. I am a Starwood member and that was my upgrade. The room was smaller than anticipated. It would have been fine for one person but was a bit cramped for two. Everything was updated and clean. The air conditioning did not seem to be cooling and we called the front desk. They answered the phone right away and used my name. Not ten minutes later, a maintenance person came to fix it. Unfortunately, it began to blow hot air (it was August) after he left. We called again and waited (it was now 80 degrees in the room and it was 10:45 PM at night). We called again and the maintenance person came with a new air conditioner. I have never seen that before. He had that thing going in ten minutes. We were so glad they didn't ask us to move because we were so tired. On check-out, they gave us 1,000 Starwood points for the inconvenience (not too shabby). The only negative was the so called club. Three floors shared the club lounge which was miniscule - about the size of two standard rooms put together. It wasn't very nice and the breakfast was so-so. We thought we were getting something "executive level" but it was your run of the mill dry eggs, plastics cups, etc. Besides, I think more people were in there that were actually on the club levels (lots of families). I would stay there again, but don't think you are getting anything special being on the club floor.

Thank you very much for your response regarding your stay with us, it is good to hear that you found our staff friendly, hotel clean and your accommodation updated.However I do sincerly apologize for the airconditioning unit malfunctioning within your room, it was good to see that our Engineer did go above expectations that evening to replace it with a new one and we do hope that the delay did not cause too much inconvience. I see that we placed you on our club floor but did notice the breakfast area you found small, we are aware this and are looking at options to expand due to the unanticipated demand for these floors. Stopped by for one night to this little hotel while passing through, checkin was quick and easy, room was comfortable and quiet and staff was friendly and attentive, don't need anything else from a hotel.

I wasn't expecting much from a SPG category 2 in Central NJ, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and staff at this property. Made for a great one night stay. Rooms were very clean.
