Good news: After suddenly closing last November, Charlie Brown's reopened under new management. The restaurant’s interior has been renovated with additional booths, a fresh coat of paint, new carpeting and new wood flooring in the bar area. The exterior has also been freshly painted and will have new canopies.
Bad News: Additional booths means fewer tables. The booths are also elevated as are the tables and stools in the bar area meaning if you are mobility impaired you will just have to wait and wait for the few accessible tables. They flooded the local area with $10.00 off coupons and seem unprepared for the volume of customers that generated. Service was slow but may improve since most of the wait staff seems to be new to the business. Menus and prices were revised, you will no longer find London Broil and other old favorites but more high priced entrees. No steak fries, instead you get those coated seasoned fries that all chain restaurents think you should like. Other choice sides include garlic mashed potatoes, seasoned rice and others. Why not plain mashed or rice? Do you need to make me thirsty so I'll drink more? As an alternative, choose a baked potato with butter or sour cream on the side. Also, unsweetened iced tea was not available, just sweetea for Billy Bob.
OK, the food was good and it arrived hot and to order with portion size in proportion to price. I'd rather have a smaller portion for a smaller price but that's only available for the prime rib.
Sports bar. Kids menu. Pricey desserts. Noisy atmosphere. Call ahead seating.
