Convient hotel to bus service into midtown Manhattan Port of Authority. Got a great rate booking online via Hilton Honors website. We were travelling so we did not plan on a repeat visit. However, when we realized that the bus terminal shared the parking deck we thought we would return. When we tried to negotiate with the hotel via phone for the same rate after we checked out they balked at the idea. I tried to explain that we just stayed there three nights ago and would like to stay again for the same rate they said no, so we said no. Another caution, if staying on the weekend, this is a big wedding hotel. So the guests were very noisy in the hallways til the wee hours of the morning. See if the front desk can give you a room away from the crowd or the wedding party.

Room Tip: See if there is a wedding or large party group when you are checking in, request rooms away from the...

True, the two hotels are not side by side, but the comparison is still valid.
Rooms at both are adequate - actually, would give the Hilton a slight advantage because if you are at the end of the hallway, you have a shorter walk at the Hilton. The Hyatt goes on, and on, and on...
The food at the Hyatt is acceptable - of course you would rarely need to eat there because of the proximity to many local restaurants.
The food at the Hilton is also acceptable - but since there is no place else to go (walking) it should be a level above. It isn't.
Had a great check-in experience at both. Diamond at Hilton, Platinum at Hyatt. It's after check in that the differences become more apparent - and it's almost all due to attitude. Granted, I may have caught the Hilton at an off time (not busy at all) but the attitude of the staff (other than the dude that checked me in) leaves a LOT to be desired. No 'can do' feel at the Hilton, more a "we will get to it when we can". Hyatt was always "how can we help"? Maybe somewhat due to my business dress at the Hyatt and casual appearance at the Hilton, but that really should not matter. I will not stay here again.

I have mixed feeling on this hotel. This hotel is isolated, but self sufficient (2 restaurants) and an extremely overpriced "convenience" store in the lobby (a post card was $1.49). There is nothing (and I mean nothing...) within walking distrance, so a car is required. However, if you're looking for a good sleep, it's a very quiet location. It's time to update the duvets... there was no stuffing left in mine, but there was an extra blanket in the closet. There is a bus that runs to Time Square in New York.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of September.

There is nothing special about this hotel. The lobby is nice, but worn if you look closely.

Our room was ok. Nothing special.

The parking garage was inconvenient.

The restaurants in the hotel don't open until 2 on Saturday. This was very inconvenient if you wanted an early lunch. There were no other food options at the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit to our hotel. At the Hilton East Brunswick our staff looks forward to ensuring that our guests have a great stay and someone from our team is always available to answer any questions guests may have. We offer two restaurants for onsite dining options. It is unfortunate that you missed an opportunity to try The Café which opens early on Saturday morning at 7AM, or our Sports Edition Bar which opens at 11AM on Saturday and Sunday to accommodate guests for lunch. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon!

Wow! This is not what I've come to expect from the Hilton brand. I've stayed at this same hotel a few times in the very recent past and each time I've experienced issues with the room. Either the phones didn't work or the air conditioner didn't work. The "high speed Internet" is almost impossible to connect to and if you do, it's "snail-pace slow". I've tried to take it in stride thinking that perhaps it was just my dumb luck to end up in a troubled room, but during my current stay, the air conditioner failed again.

Aside from the above, there are no refrigerators in the room (although admittedly I didn't read where they said there was one). There is however a space in the dresser in each of the rooms that I've stayed in where a refrigerator appears to have been. The double closet space in my current room has a single door and an opening where the second door is supposed to be. The single door is still able to slide back and forth however so you can choose which half of the closet you wish to conceal.

The staff is pleasant and courteous, the bed is comfortable and the location is ideal, but the rooms are tired and leave something to be desired. If you're planning on staying here, don't come with the expectation that this hotel is being held to the same standards as some of the other Hilton properties because sadly it is not.

I stayed at the Hilton East Brunswick for a convention. I had an issue with my room and concierge was quick in getting me another without any problems. Overall, I had a nice stay, nothing to write home about, but nothing to criticize. This is definitely a hotel that caters to business and you need a car to get from place to place, as there is nothing in walking distance, except highways.

The hotel is clean and the rooms have been updated. The valet service was very slow and the restaurant and food were below average. The hotel is in a great location, very easy to get too New York City and to the Jersey Shore. Would definetly return.
