Came here last night for dinner with the BF. it was a good meeting spot for after work, as its right off rt 18 south. If you're GPS isn't working properly, it's in the same plaza at Makkoli, the Japanese buffet. The entrance is east to miss, so look for the Makkoli sign.
Atmosphere: hole in the wall with an authentic feel. You can sit in small floor chairs, giving you a more authentic Korean style feel OR you can sit at regular tables and chairs. There's a sushi bar, as this is a Korean / Japanese restaurant.
Service: just okay, nothing to complain about, but nothing great or anything. It's the typical Asian service that you get.
Food : really yummy!
* kalbi / beef short rib * served on a sizzling plate - this is not a cook your own place. Great flavor, good portion, I guess. I'd rather go to an AYCE in LA and pay the 28.00 but, them I'd have to pay the price to fly out there right? Good food for central jersey, but have had better on Korea town in LA.
The soups are all good, I've had 2 or 3 different kinds and they r all pretty good. The rice taste really good too. Appetizers are good as well.
I'd def come back if I was craving. If u haven't had the chance to experience K-town Korean BBQ, you'll give it 4 or 5 stars. But if you have been to LA this place really won't excite you.
