We were picking up our daughter who was coming into town from college and needed a place to eat. A friend who hadn't eaten here in over 15 years suggested we check it out. The service was good as was the food. Between us we had French onion soup which was delicious, it had a nice buttery undertone to it. Salmon which may daughter loved, flounder franchaise which was a huge portion and also delicious, we chose the scallop potatoes to go with it,which were very nice. I got a cheeseburger which was a generous half pound burger and cooked to perfection. It was served on a toasted rosemary role which was outstanding. They also served that same bread when you're seated.

My only nit with this restaurant and why they got 4 stars instead of 5 was based on them charging me for a refill on a glass of soda, which was completely filled with ice so I'm guessing the actual amount of soda was probably 4-5 ounces. If it was a can of soda I'd agree, but $2.50 for a fountain soda full of ice and they couldn't provide free refills, that's wrong. Otherwise we really enjoyed this pub and would absolutely go back.

Ate at this small downtown Dover Pub last night. It was very busy as so many of the surrounding communities still do not have power following Hurricane Sandy, but the owners Daughter was so calm and kind, there was a great atmosphere and the food was OUT of this WORLD. Thank you so much - we will definately be going back - and we got to the movie in time. Thank You

If you are fortunate not to have a food allergy, then this is probably an acceptable place. However, our waitress was less than accommodating when questioned as to any menu items containing gluten. We were informed we could NOT substitute a vegetable (broccoli, green beans, corn, anything!!!!) for the mashed potatoes (which contain flour), without an additional charge.

We ordered the fish & chips and chopped steak, both were wonderful. I highly recommend the fish & chips. Their homemade bread is also excellent!

The food is good, but the Irish coffee is better. It's made to look like a Guinness with coffee, brown sugar, Jamison, and cream floated on top.
