I have always ordered to go so I can say that the take out is good. The best thing on the menu is the rotisery chicken. It is the best chicken you will find in town. They also offer sides with the chicken that are good. i'm not a fan of their beans but their plantains are good and so is the potatoes. Staff is friendly and If you like spicy food ask for their hot sauce. It compliments the chicken really good.

I found this place on accident while I was lost and vowed to return once I was finished at the place I was headed to. The smell coming out of the restaurant grabbed my attention.

Needless to say, during my appointment all I kept thinking about was Pollo Pucalor. I was almost salivating! I rushed over to the restaurant once my appointment ended and quickly realized I was going to enjoy my meal.

I ordered a quarter chicken ($2.75), a salad ($2), ripe (sweet) plantains ($2), consume (country chicken soup) and two bottles of water. I paid $10!!! I couldn't believe it.

The consume was delicious. It contains chicken gizzards, hearts, neck, potato chunks, scallions in a delicious homemade broth. This is typically eaten by the less fortunate economically, but it's darn good. I highly recommend it.

The chicken was delicious, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. It didn't necessarily have tons of flavor but it didn't lack flavor either. The natural juices seemed to provide the flavor since I didn't notice any spices on it.

The salad is large and comes with ample lettuce, three thick slices of large tomatoes, four lime wedges and sufficient raw onions to make you want to immediately brush your teeth or at least chew gum.

The sweet plantains were more than plentiful. They gave me 6 halves which is 3 while plantains. They were cooked just right to a delicious sweetness. Although they are fried they did not taste greasy at all. The preparation was as it should be. Despite having been cooked prior to being served they didn't taste like they sat around either.

There is a dining room with a waitress. I didn't know this so I ordered at the counter and received take away style service. You can sit and order off the same menu. They bring the food in real plates, etc. I also noticed sit down service came with a biscuit like thing prior to the receipt of your order.

All in all, in the future when I am in Dover this is the place I will definitely eat at!
