We had the pleasure of photographing the wolves at the Lakota Preserve on September 30, 2013. We can’t say enough about Becky and how wonderful she was to ensure we had the perfect photo shoot. Becky made sure that we were photographing the wolves in the proper light and went out of her way to try and capture the wolves (I wish I knew their names as well as she does) in their natural environment. Becky and Jim were very accommodating to meet our needs as we were on a tight traveling schedule. The result was many really great and special pictures that we will treasure always. Hopefully we will be able to return to the area again to photograph the wolves in the snow. It was a pleasure sharing time with Becky and the packs.

Lovely place. Very educational and informative. Be sure to call first though to make sure they are running tours! They only have a few dedicated staff and lots of animals to tend to first! Love it!

Not only do you get to see (and hear) wolves up close, you also meet a fox, bobcat, and skunk. Fascinating to learn about these 4-legged neighbors and the dedicated owners and staff of this operation.

What a great place to visit! They offer 2 guided tours a day. If you come during the week, the prefer you call ahead but the weekend you can just show up. The cost is $15 per person which goes towards the wolves and the campground. The preserve is actually on a campground so that is the agreement they have come to.

On of the two dedicated caretakers take you first to see the wolves. You get to learn about all the wolves and see them as close to you can as if in the wild. The two 4 month old pups were so cute to watch play. After the wolves we go and see their bobcats and foxes. Watching the bobcats act when the caretaker brings food is worth the visit.

It is a great educational experience and fun for most ages. Little kids depending. I can't wait to go back!
