This is the most casual place around. But, I love thwir steak and their hamburgers. We enjoy our meal each and every time. But, it is certainly not an elegant restaurant.

Huddy's is a pub in the truest sense of the word where even the staff seem happy to be there. There is not a pretentious bone in its body as it delivers one classic comfort food favorite after another to near perfection in one of the nicest areas in jersey.
I had the roast chicken which was perfectly crispy and juicy and my wife had a couple of apps which were surprisingly well made. More specifically the broccoli bites had Thin coating of batter and the shrimp cocktail was as it should be but the real star was the baked brie. Let's just say I relished the wide eyed look of pleasure as the fork went in and then pulled slowly away as she slowly closed them dreamily with delight.
The perfect place any time of week, for no special reason.

This place is is like the old couch in your basement - used, worn, a bit dirty but still comfortable. Mostly a comfort food menu that generally is prepared in a decent manner. Service is somewhat uneven but friendly. They have a full menu plus a large specials menu most nights. There's a bar with the obligatory 5TV monitors tuned to your favorite games.

There's usually a good crowd every night so the food turns over quickly, which is reassuring when you're looking for freshly prepared entrees. Good selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers and full entrees such as fish, chicken, pasta, steak. Portions are good and most foods can be cooked to order. This restaurant's style is closer to Mom's cooking than to gourmet, but hey we never complained about that. Dessert selection is standard fare but tasty with nice portion size.

The decor is terribly dated, drab and somewhat depressing. They are planning to relocate nearby in about a year. I hope they hire a professional designer for the new place. In the meantime, it would make a big difference if they just replaced the carpeting in their current location.
