We had lunch here two days in a row. Good bread, some interesting salads and sandwich fare and a good clam chowder, with very friendly staff. The olive tapenade we got on the second day tasted off, and the chicken and caramelized onion salad was a bit bland, but the shrimp and ham and gruyere salads were delicious. Individual pastries are all bars or cupcakes, though they had a pumpkin creme brûlée the day we were there. I chose to go down to the chocolate shop for macarons and across the street to the ice cream shop for dessert both times, so I can't comment on the pastries, but we would happily return for more bread and salads!

Really! The best bread anywhere in Hunterdon County. Love, love the shrimp salad. Fantastic staff and a lunch special menu that brings regulars every day to try what's new or enjoy again. A must try for lunch or treat while visiting historic Clinton. Pretty sun filled space with tables. Enjoy! Then walk down the street to the wonderful cheese shop, Fourcette and a picnic is made.

Conveniently located in the center of Clinton? Yes. Bright, clean, sunny & cheerful interior? Yes. Nice employees? Yes. Bakery goods look great? Yes. BUT ... the portions were miniscule, and the prices outrageously high. Salad was tasty but came in a box w/a tbs of (tasty) dressing. Soup was fairly tasty but fairly watery. Small sandwich was accompanied by a tbs of pretty tasteless coleslaw. This lunch, accompanied by 2 sodas came to $40.00. Not worth it. Won't be back.

My wife and I have lived in an adjoining township for nearly thirty-six years and it's as though this baked goods shop has "dropped from the sky" as a godsend - offering the highest quality imaginable breads & pastry! Operated as a takeout, on-site dining and catering service, Christie's is easy to find, always clean and staffed with the nicest people you'll find working in such an establishment anywhere. Each day's offering of salads is reliably appealing, flavorful, fresh and readily made into croissant, wrap or bread sandwiches. Hearty fare of traditional chicken and a fabulous merlot, beef pot pie can be eaten in or taken home frozen. Slightly elevated and situated on a street corner facing the scenic block of Clinton (anchored with the old red mill), one of the shop's front window tables affords a delightful view of Main Street - a perfect spot from which to marvel at period-era decorations during the year end holidays.

Located in the quaint small town of Clinton on the intersection of Main and Leigh Streets it's wonderful offerings of sandwiches and coffee with delicious pastries makes this place unique in the are. When you step into its elevated main floor you're immediately engulfed in wonderful sunlight streaming in from its many windows that surround the main room. There are only a few tables and it can get crowded. Owner Andrew opened this delightful place only a few months ago and already the locals have made it a favorite spot to get a quick and homemade sandwich and drink. If you eat there you can sit by the front windows on high chairs and tables with a view down Main St for some people watching. But the outstanding part of their operation is their wholesome breads baked in their Spanish steam oven and wonderful spreads and Tapas. Had their chicken salad with real (unprocessed) chunks of chicken served on a large croissant - absolutely delicious!! Prepared by Sofia and her colleagues. Their coffee is likewise special and served from various dispensers and different flavors. Took their whole wheat sourdough bread loaf home and wished I had taken more (nice job chef Richard). Their pastries are first rate (thanks to pastry chef Leslie) and they have a wide selection but go early as they tend to sell out. Soooo, whether you need to grab a bite after exploring quaint Clinton or need some baked goods to take home, I highly recommend you take some peaceful timeout and indulge yourself in this high-quality eatery. They also cater.
