I settled in here after an 11 hr work day, and planned to work while I ate. After finding it here on tripadvisor, I was reassured by my Jordanian, Indian, and American coworkers. For perspective, this is under the context that I ate here, so don't let my review make you expect the best of your life. It's simply good tasting food in good portions at a good price.
I ordered the following in order:
Baba Ghanouj (never had it before), loved it
Kibbi ("cracked wheat pockets stuffed with ground beef, onions, pine nuts and spices" and was given a free side of yogurt to contrast the taste) and absolutely LOVED IT
Lentil soup (I'm sure it's good for what it is, but the seasoning didn't agree with me)
Greek salad (needed a vej, and the olives, watch out for pits, fresh feta, tomatoes, cukes, romaine, and dressing fit the bill) and it was good
Gyro (the server swore up and down it was pronounced JIRO) and it was amazing
I intended on ordering less and leaving more on the table, but I couldn't stop myself.
About the service and atmosphere, yes, a bit slow, and yes a bit plain, but it's a fitting ambiance. You can hear everyone's conversation, and if you relax, you'll likely have some laughs, and may even make some friends as I did after commenting on a discussion of a couple elder parents as they left. There seemed to be 1 or 2 servers for the whole restaurant from 7 - 9, and as long as you're there to enjoy food and just relax (I have to imagine that's what people used to do, relax when they went out), you'll have a great experience too.
