“Self Service/Pizza Emphasis Hides Tasty Dinner”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We saw "restaurant in the name" - Vito's Pizza and Family Restaurant" so we stopped in for dinner on our way to a meeting. When we found we had to order our meal at a counter, there were only plastic utensils on the holder on the counter, and it was self-service pick-up, we almost left, but stayed because we were a little pressed for time. It was a wise decision. After wading through dozens of pizza choices including 4 sizes (14", 16", pan 16" and Sicilian 16", we found a wide range of pasta, seafood and chicken dinner choices.) They came with salads and rolls. My clams linguine in white clam sauce was a pricey $17.45, but the sauce was tasty and the dozen or so clams came in their shells as you would expect in an upscale restaurant. The Chicken Franchaise was equally as tasty and was $14.45. Both of us took home boxes that were more than adequate for lunch the next day. A cup of chicken Pastina was $2.10. The meals came with silverware. If you don't mind the self-service and pizza ambiance, the dinners are worth a stop.

“Very Good Eggplant Pizza”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

We pulled off the Interstate to find a local place to eat lunch before entering that Food Wasteland known as the Jersey Turnpike. Well, just a minute off the exit was Vito's. Although some reviews have lamented the decrease in quality recently, I can't say. But to this first time visitor it was excellent. Very friendly Pizza Chefs greeted us as we came in. The slices were huge and the sauce flavorful. My wife had Pepperoni and I had an Eggplant Slice which had lightly breaded fried eggplant with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. They even offered extra sauce on the side. Yum! Sure beats the Junk they sell on the Turnpike!

“Far from what it was...sad!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

Been going to vito's since it opened nearly 30 years ago. Had always been the best pizza anywhere. Place changed ownership and went downhill immediately. Pizza is always burned, overcooked and tasteless. The great sauce they used to put into making their great pizza in the paste is no more. You are better off going to Sal Vito pizza in nearby Voorhees. Sal is one of the original brothers who worked at Vito's and left to open his own.pizza joint.

“Papa Johns has nothing on Vito's”
Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

Vito's friendly staff greets you the minute you walk in the door. It was so hard to choose what you wanted because there were lots of amazing choices. Settled for a slice of margarita with spinach...best pizza I've ever had! As I told the staff, KY's Papa John's has nothing on Vito's Pizza!!!
