“Fabulous place for a family-friendly afternoon”
Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

My family decided to stop at the zoo during a week-long vacation in Sea Isle city. Cape May is just a short drive from Sea Isle and the zoo seemed like a good place to entertain our toddler. Our group included grandparents, also, and everyone had a great time! There are lots of fabulous and exotic animals to see. Many paths through the zoo are on elevated wooden decks that weave around different animal habitats. They are well done and beautifully maintained. We were impressed with how clean and spacious the animal habitats were, too. Great
place to spend a couple hours!

“Good place to bring kids”

Free, need it say more? A variety of exotic and domestic animals in natural settings. The baby giraffe is the highlight of the zoo.

“One of the BEST zoos in the USA!”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

We've been to MANY zoos, but Cape May is set apart. The cost is a free will offering by the car load...so EVERYONE can afford it. LOTS of easy access FREE parking. Lots of picnic pavilions with grills to enjoy family time and you have the option of picnicing instead of buying food, if you want.. A HUGE playground for the kids....all of this before you even go in the Zoo.

Once in the zoo, while there are cages for some animals, MANY of the larger animals are in HUGE open habitats that you walk over so they have room to roam but visitors can still get close to the animals. We love there's LOTS of trees so you didn't feel the sun beating on you all day.

It can be an all day stay or just a couple hours, but it's one of our MUST DO visits every time we head to the Jersey Shore!
