“Educate And Exhaust The Grandchildren”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2014

This is the best of five free day trips for children in Cape May County.

The zoo itself is compact for relatively easy access to a nice variety of animals. Enjoy a picnic after your zoo tour under a shelter near the parking area. After the children are nourished and rested, let them loose on the huge playground to complete the happy state of exhaustion that signals a completely successful outing.

The other four free day trips? 1) The Atlantic and Delaware Bay beaches. Include time at the latter to collect Cape May Diamonds. 2) Cape May Point State Park. 3) South end of Beach Drive in North Cape May to watch the Cape May - Lewes ferry arrive and depart 4) Alpacas at Bay Springs Farm on New England Road.

“Great place to spend the day! ”

For being a free zoo (donations welcomed and appreciated) it is a must do when in the area. Can be a bit crowded on a cloudy day as people avoid the beaches, but still a great day!

“More Than Meets the Eye”

Wonderful place to spend the day with your family and the animals. Even though you might think the zoo is small, it really is surprising that it offers so much. With the price being only a donation, you can't go wrong.

“Beautiful with lots to do.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

The zoo is free admisson but they ask for donations which is worth it.It looks very nice with modern decking around most of the park which gives you a better view of most of the animals. There is lots of picnic groves for family get togethers. There is an awesome playground for the little ones near the picnic area. They have alot of animals so you wont be bored. I just loved how clean it was. It was the perfect thing to do with kids when viviting cape may. Just a 15 min. drive from town and worth it.

“Great place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2014

There is no admission but they do ask for a donation. From the moment, you pull in all of the workers are pleasant and welcoming. There is a nice variety of animals. The zoo is not huge but nicely spaced out. It is kept up very nicely. It's a great place to visit!
