The Zoo is very kid friendly. The above the animals boardwalk for viewing many of the spiecies is excellent. Reptile and bird house displays are great. Entrance fee is a donation and includes parking. Play park outside Zoo. Get there early if visiting during summer months.

“not free....fee for parking a van”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

My daughter's ARC program was so excited to go to the Cape May Zoo only to be denied access as there was a fee of $30.00 per van.....to use the park..not even go in the zoo area...4 vans took 28 participants and 8 staff down there for a wonderful day with a picnic lunch that caregivers/parents provided for them and were denied access due to the fee....so why is it not mentioned on any info that is available, not even on NJfree.com...such a cruel way to disappoint 4 van loads of mentally challenged adults and the staff that provides "cool community activities" for them...I say...NOT RIGHT!!!!!!

“Super Zoo”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Wonderful zoo with lots of interesting animals, bird house you walk thru, reptiles, big cats, zebra, giraffe, etc,. etc. The exhibits are well kept, and children friendly. Parking was available and there was a snack shop. Food is expensive, but since there is no fee, its used to support the animals so I was ok with it. Its laid out well and has elevated walkways. The only draw back was that some of the animals (the big cats) were in there houses and not visible. They have shade trees, so I wonder why they cant shut the houses during the day so the animals are all outside. It was that hot either, but otherwise was well worth it.

“What a beautiful zoo”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

We recently spent a few days in Cape May and drove up to Cape May Court House to go to the zoo. We have visited the zoo in past years and always enjoyed our visit and this time was no exception. The zoo is beautifully maintained and there is no admission fee - just a donation at the gate. The day we visited was cooler and the animals were more lively. We happened to be there during "feeding time " and it was so much fun to watch the lemurs pick through their bowl to get the exact tidbits they wanted to eat! The zoo had some recent births and we were able to see the new snow leopards and the baby giraffe. There is a nice bird house and reptile house that all the visitors seemed to be enjoying. The park also has a nice snack bar and playground area for the children. The zoo is certainly a "gem" and shouldn't be missed if you are visiting the area.
