This is our second time to the zoo, we visited 3 years ago as well. I can not say enough great things about this zoo. The animals all look healthy and happy. There is a great variety. The park on the grounds is great for a picnic after spending a few hours in the zoo (we have stopped mid way for lunch as we've spent atleast 3 hours in the zoo each time). There have been demos or info areas both visits as well to learn more about a specific animal or too.
This year my children were 2, 3, 5 and 6 and it was great for all of them, and although there isn't too much walking compared to some zoos (it is a great set-up) it is still a lot for the little ones and I would recommend a stroller although they do have some for rent as well.

This park and zoo has the rating for a reason. It is great. The snacks and concession stands are a bit pricey but otherwise, you can't beat it. With all the wonderful animals, open space, playgrounds and more, there is no better place to go on a nice day.

This has to be one of the best family values in America, let alone the Jersey Shore. Free parking, free admission, clean, nice selection of healthy animals, wonderfully pleasant wooded atmosphere.

During a week's vacation at the Shore, the zoo offers a terrific respite both from the crowds and the expense. I have a set of triplets, now aged 16. We've made many trips to the zoo, and the girls have never found it dull.

Kudos to Cape May County for providing this treasure. As other reviewers have noted, please donate to this free admission zoo. It is absolutely worth it.

The admission is free except for any voluntary donation you care to give. This zoo is amazingly big and beautiful. The animals are in large enclosures where they can run and move around. The zoo is clean and well-maintained. Both the large size area wise and the large variety of animals was shocking for a county zoo. Do not hesitate to visit this zoo and allow ample time, at least 2 1/2 hours or more.

This is a gem of a zoo that charges nothing (donations accepted). Very easy to see the animals. Everything is kept very clean and the animals look like they are very happy in their surroundings. A wonderful place to walk around with your kids.
