This is a wonderful zoo and so family-friendly! There is quite a bit to see and my 11 month daughter was very excited for her first visit to see all the animals. You can't beat this great little zoo, since it's Free! It's fun for all ages and an excellent way to spend an afternoon.

We've been going back to the Cape May Zoo for years because we always have a great time. They have a pretty amazing assortment of animals; the zoo is nice and clean; the setting is ideal - shady for those really hot days and trees to buffer the wind on cooler days.

While there is no admission charge you should make a donation at the entrance to keep it running so well. Enjoy!

Loved how clean this (non-profit) zoo is. Be sure to visit, you'll be glad you did and make a donation while you are there.

We finally went to the Cape May Zoo over spring break. Kids (15, 13, 6) enjoyed it very much. Since the admission is free, I thought the zoo would be small but that's not the case. It has various animal sections and they've built walkways for some of the exhibits. We spent about 2-1/2 hours there. It was a beautiful day and there were many visitors but it was not overcrowded. My advice is to bring drinks and snacks for the little ones as they do not have food vendors in the zoo. There are playgrounds near the entrance and your little one can ride the train for a few bucks. Be nice and make a donation in one of the buildings or mailbox-looking bin. A great place to visit, to spend a few hours, look at unusual animals. I highly recommend it.
