Great place all around....friendly, attentive staff, great menu and specials, really nice comfortable atmosphere. Listen closely to their daily specials (especially the soups!) We've been there three times this summer and have never been disappointed.
It's rare to find this good a place on Route 9 in South Jersey....normally, I find food this good in Manhattan or one of the better NYC suburbs. Don't miss it.

We have been to Main Street Cafe for dinner several times and have ever been disappointed. It is comfortable with room between tables. The service is both friendly and professional. The food is delicious- especially anything crab (soft shell, cakes, bisque). The prices are very fair considering the food quality and since it's byob there is no wine markup.

Checked out Trip Advisor for a restaurant in Cape May Courthouse .... this one was tops on their list, and I totally understand.

This is a lovely little place in a former house. We were there on Italian Night, and the food was wonderful! I had an eggplant appetizer that was amazing, and my husband loved his homemade chicken noodle soup. Dinner of lasagna and sausage and meatballs over pasta were equally good. Portions were very large/I wound up with take home of both appetizer and entree.

It was great to find such a good restaurant in this neck of the woods. Generally we have found places at the shore lacking in so many ways. Not so Main Street Cafe. The atmosphere, food and service will have us coming back again and again. (And next time we will remember to BYOB!)

Charming atmosphere in a quaint little house in Cape May Court House is enhanced by the delectable cuisine and service. We had scallops for a starter then followed by the salmon with crab and the osso buco. The osso bucco was tender and delicious served with spinach and fresh asparagus. Dessert was lavender flavored creme brulee and lavender flavored madeleines made with an infused butter. The service from Michael was just superb. He was gracious and perfectly attentive. Reserve ahead as there as just a few tables in this captivating dining venue.
