Location is great, right across from the beach and in town so you can walk to all the restaurants, so perfect for us a family with two kids. The hotel is beautiful, restored but still looks and feels old. Gorgeous lawn with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Kids kicked a ball around on the lawn, as did several other families. Rooms beautifully furnished and nice linens and towels (changed twice a day). We lucked out and had a large room. I read other reviews and several people commented how small their room was and indeed other rooms I glanced into did seem noticeably smaller. For 2 people it's fine, but for a family in one room worth speaking to reservations to make sure room is suitable. Free wifi, but sometimes issues connecting and it's a pain because each time you log back in you have to enter you email address and password.
Ate breakfast at the BluePig Tavern twice. Good service and food. Only on the second visit did they offer us the kids menu though. For dinner we ate at Mad Batter, Panicos and Gecko (all in town) and which I would recommend without reservation.More
