This is the third time we have stayed at the Mission Inn. My stay was wonderful and everything was in the best of the tradition of the Inn...food.....lodging and the most pleasant staff. I found each room so cozy and imtimate. I love South Western so I felt at home. I would recommend this Inn to anyone who can apppreciate the value of leaving the pressures of the day and relaxing to a bottle of wine and appetizers in the afternoon, tour the quaint town of Cape May and then return to a shower and jaccuzzi.................wake up to a wonderful gormet breakfast.

We plan to return again and again. Nothing equals this experience. It was worth the 240 mile one way drive. This is more than a room........Let Susan treat you to an event to remember......Jim and [Sophia].

Room Tip: Go for the double jaccuzzi...it is worth the price.

Truly an exceptional Bed and Breakfast. I've stayed at B&Bs all over the country for the past 20 years and the Mission Inn is one of the very best. The furnishings and decor are elegant and comfortable. Some B&Bs feel like you're walking into a museum and the furniture is only for display. From the many fireplaces to the cozy rooms, the Mission Inn says "relax." Susan and Ray are excellent hosts. They are inviting without being intrusive and their knowledge of Cape May and the surrounding area is excellent. The breakfasts were plentiful and gourmet quality.

If you want a romantic weekend at a truly five star B&B, then you need look no further.

Wow! This was our first time to the Mission Inn. Having done some research and read all the amazing reviews, our expectations were fairly high going in, but Ray and Susan still managed to exceed them. We loved everything about the place - the decor, the ambiance, the comfort, the food (breakfast and afternoon snacks), the amenities - but nothing beat the warm, genuine hospitality of Ray and Susan. They made us feel right at home, pampered and well cared for, and very welcome. We are definitely going back!

This is our second trip to the Mission Inn at Cape May, NJ. We just love the way we are treated from the moment we show up until we are walking out the door to come back home. There is no length that Ray and Susan will take to ensure that you have the best time staying at their B&B. The rooms are amazing, the snacks and breakfast are delicious. If there are any questions regarding places to eat or places to go, Susan is your one stop information office. We just cannot imagine staying at any other B&B in Cape May. Thank you for the amazing weekend!!

Home is where the heart is... and my heart is at the Mission Inn!

The inn is breathtaking! Susan and Ray have created an amazing retreat from the world. It's beautifully decorated in a Californian missions theme. Note the missions picture on the staircase and then go throughout the house to see the unbelievable detail in every turn. Bed headboards are replicas of actual missions, murals painted to create the allusion you're there. We were fortunate enough to visit before the holidays and enjoy a gorgeous tree, sparkling lights, and yards (miles?) of lustrous red ribbon.

Susan and Ray lovingly welcome guests with open arms like family. We talked to them for hours since they are both very knowledgable about Cape May. Yet they were also very respectful of our privacy and we found the several sofas and chairs by the fireplace the perfect place to relax and page through one of their great books or magazines. Afternoon treats and breakfast were amazing. Be sure to try Susan's signature coconut oatmeal cookies with cranberries and raisins as they were delicious!!

Everything in the inn is spotless and meticulously maintained. In fact, Susan mentioned that they even iron the bed linens. Beds are very comfortable, fireplaces cozy and kitchen stocked with everything you'll need.

The inn is a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cape May, but within walking distance with plenty of free parking. It's just a block from the ocean.

I hope this was just the first of many stays for us!

My husband, sister and brother-in-law just returned from our fifth visit to the Mission Inn which feels like "our home away from home" in Cape May. Susan and Ray are warm and gracious hosts, their staff is friendly and professional, the service impeccable, the decor truly beactiful, and the breakfasts and Janet's afternoon snacks ( especially the cookies) eagerly awaited by their guests. We have been fortunate to meet some wonderful people on our visits, and we enjoy chatting, laughing, reading and even just sitting listening to quiet music in the common area with them . Our reservations have already been made for next year in the San Diego de Alcala room on the first floor which we feel is truly spectacular, and we will eagerly await the relaxation and warmth of our visit before the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season.

Outstanding is the only way to describe everything about our stay at the Mission Inn! The Inn is immaculately maintained, and offers absolutely every amenity. It is an extra treat to stay during the holiday season -- the decorating is just lovely. The gourmet breakfast every morning is delicious, and late afternoon snacks are always very tasty as well. The Inn Keepers, Sue & Ray, are wonderful!! So warm & friendly, and always helpful with everything. This was our second year staying there to enjoy Cape May's Christmas festivities, and we have already reserved for next year. Wouldn't stay any place else!!

We invite you to experience the charm of a California Spanish Mission Style Bed and Breakfast just one block from the beach. You will find The Mission Inn guest rooms to be bright, airy, tastefully decorated, creative and restful places for the weary traveler as was the purpose of the original California missions.
