It was a great weekend. Our family was all together for the holiday and occupied the entire Inn. My husband and I stayed in the San Diego de Alcala room on the first floor. It was quiet, relaxing, and most enjoyable. The room was beautiful; my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation sitting near a warm fireplace (in our room). We also enjoyed our family’s company sitting by the fireplace in the common area and playing games. Susan and Raymond went above and beyond to make our stay awesome.
Cape May offers a wide variety of shopping and dinning. We walk into town each day. Sometime we walk on the boardwalk other times through the neighborhoods looking at the homes. We had lunch at the Fish Market. The lobster roll and crab cakes were delicious. We also enjoyed a drink at the Jackson Mountain Cafe and the Ugly Mug, an old-time tradition for us. We had breakfast with Santa at the Cape May Inn (Susan made reservations for us). What a wonderful way to celebrate with family!

Room Tip: First floor room was quiet. The room was nicely decorated; cozy, clean, comfortable, chairs near th...

We stayed at The Mission Inn for 2 nights the week before Hurricane Sandy hit. Susan was a wonderful host, the place is beautiful and the food very good. There were always goodies to snack on. We hope The Mission Inn survived the hurricane without too much damage. Hope some day to visit again.

We just finished our first weekend stay at the Mission Inn in Cape May. I say it was our first because without a doubt it will only be our first of many. I have travelled all over the world and stayed at some of the finest hotels on the planet but have never experienced the attention to detail and guest comfort that the MIssion Inn and it's owner management demonstrates. Susan and Ray are both charming and efficient. We stayed in the Santa Clara room which was, like all their rooms, appointed magnificently . From the perfect bed and bedding to the luxurious robes every aspect was all about comfort. Clearly one of nicest bathrooms with the greatest shower imaginable. To say morning breakfast was a gourmet treat would not do it justice. Absolutely delicious and presented with great artistry. The interaction with Ray and Susan as well as with the other guests was very pleasant as was the quiet peaceful comfort of our room. The proximity to beach and Cape May shopping and restaurants was ideal. We capped off our visit with coffee on the front porch listening to the ocean waves and already planning our next visit. New Jersey and Cape May offer four beautiful and distinct seasons. We intend to plan visits to the Mission Inn to enjoy all four. What a great great place run by great great folks!

I have not taken the time to review Susan & Ray's wonderful Inn, an omission for which I am profoundly sorry. My lovely wife and I were fortunate enough to have been married there by the Mayor of North Cape May. We have since returned several times. Simply put, you could not ask for a better overall experience. OK, the architecture is not "Cape May", but we consider that part of its charm. It manages to feel contemporary and somehow historic all at once. You will feel at home here from the moment you arrive. Susan has gotten better and better over the years. It has been a joy watching her put her imprint on this terrific place.

Room Tip: The San Diego de Alcala room is GREAT!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Mission Inn! Susan and Ray are great hosts and we really felt like they went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. The amenities are excellent, our room was large and well appointed and the whole place very comfy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was AWESOME! We had some dietary restrictions which posed no problems for the chef and eating on the front porch in the great weather sort of set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking forward to returning with friends next time.

I had not been to Cape May since I was a child, and we decided to spend the weekend for our anniversary. We selected The Mission Inn based on reviews on this and other websites. We definitely made the right choice.

The entire experience was outstanding - from the moment we made the first inquiry, through the reservation process, until the day we checked out!

Susan gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and was an incredible host for the rest of our stay. The Inn itself is beautiful and immaculate. The gourmet breakfasts were perfect, as were the creative afternoon snacks. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. And the location is perfect - close enough to walk to everything, but still quiet and peaceful.

We've already recommended The Mission Inn to our friends, and are already looking forward to our next opportunity to stay there.
