This was our 2nd visit to the Pier House in Cape May, NJ. It didn't disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the service. We both had seafood – salmon for me and sea bass and shrimp for my wife. Excellent choices and great presentation!
Our server was very professional and he earned our compliments. It was a quality choice for dinner and a great location just across from the beach. The booths at the back of the dining room are comfortable and offer a little more privacy. They are also slightly elevated for a better view out the front windows. We'll return next year.

We ate in the bar area, which at first was too noisy, but calmed down. (You may want to request dining room.) Both are good atmosphere. I started with lamb meatballs with cucumber yogurt. Excellent. Good to share. Lady had a great olive sampler. Bread was also excellent. Lady had Mahi Mahi Plaki. Fish was very good, but the sides were even better. Excellent dish. I had the whole grilled bronzino. It was a bit on the bland side, but it was what I ordered - fish for fish's sake. Service was a bit lacking - wait of a few things like bread and water. Overall, just makes excellent rating.

We always go to Mad Batter for breakfast . Don't. They did not have lobster for the lobster omelet and did not have corned beef for the hash. Menu limited. Flies all over. So we are staying at LeMer and decided to go to the Pier House. It was just fabulous. What the Mad Batter USED to be. Husband had the Mango French Toast TU TU. Three huge slices of challah bread soaked in egg so it was moist not dry and covered with mango, kewi, strawberries, and blueberries. Topped with honey. Sorry I did not take a picture. The pancakes were huge and delicious. Service top notch. Dont't miss it when visiting. On our way now back to FL where there is nothing like it.

After numerous trips for breakfasts & lunchs, we returned for dinner after a number of years. What a great menu, the kind that almost has everything you want, while not being so narrowly defined it became a "speciality" place. The food was wonderful and the service was good. Only drawback was the desserts, while good, were up to the quiality of the rest of the dinner offerings.

Celebrated our annivsary there and was not disappointed! Sea bass cooked perfectly and veal chop tasted wonderful and our waitress was wonderful too. Was pricey but worth it!
