“Breakfast Buffet”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

The breakfast buffet was very nice. Food was good and hot. Not a gigantic array of food, but nice choices. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit (nice and ripe), cheese blintzes, potatoes, waffles, etc. Servers very pleasant.

“If you want a good steak”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

They serve prime beef, so their steaks and burgers are excellent.
Lunch is a bargain at six dollars for a burger or sandwich. I had the petit filet with a bordelaise sauce which was tasty. You can pick from 3 sauces as well as a few other toppings - so you can design your own dinner. The French onion soup was good. Tiramisu didn't' impress. The service was good. I did notice that as the restaurant filled up, that people waited awhile for their meal. We don't like to be rushed, so we were very happy to have a leisurely experience. Hemingways is one of our go to places now.

“Decor is the best this has to offer”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

The decor is nice. We had calamari to start. I would call it popcorn calamari. It was not a generous portion and tasted like it was fried in old oil. The two sauces that accompanied it was a marinara and a mayonnaise based sauce. Both seemed to lack flavor. BEWARE soda is charged by the glass, no refills, this is not posted anywhere but your bill. The Ribeye seemed a little on the fatty side, but the garlic mashed potatoes were good, very small portion (equivalent to less than an ice cream scooper)., rounded out with two tops of broccoli, a slice of squash and two slivers of red pepper. On the scallop dish the mashed sweet potato (same amount as garlic potatoes) was again the best part of the plate. Same amount and type of vegetables. The downside is the scallops, the size was very nice and had a good searing on one side, but they lacked being properly washed and it was like they had been rolled in sand. Dessert was the bread pudding, which had no sauce and slightly overcooked and dry. Overall would not waste the $75 here. Waitress was very nice and knew the area.
