I took a tour of this winery last summer and it was a great experience. The tour is $20 which includes a tour of the vineyard and winery, a tasting (includes cheese and crackers), and a souvenir glass to take home. I even got to speak with the wine maker, Darren, who was very informative. I recently stopped by to pick up a bottle of Issac Smith Red Reserve and Cape May Lighthouse Reisling. Great place!

Visited this past weekend and was disappointed. There are at least 3 tasting bars, yet we were shuffled to a small back room large enough for only a few patrons. Six dollar fee and the pour was so small it barely gave enough to taste and what could be tasted was average or below. The reds lack flavor and character of the varietal. If you like tourist traps and sweet wines you may like this location, but if you are even remotely serious about wine tasting save your 6 dollars.

We went to the winery for a free wine tasting. They were friendly and welcoming and didn't mind at all that we knew nothing about wine! We tasted several different wines and chose one that we liked the best. We bought a bottle, and some cheese and crackers to go with it and sat outside by the fire pit next the the vineyard. You can also bring your own snacks and sit inside by the fire, retire to the library or head to the outdoor deck that overlooks the vineyard. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and we spent less that $40! We'll definitely be going back.

Great little place. We sat by the fire and had wine beautiful ambience. But the samples were very small. The samples were inappropriately sized to sample the wine

We have included the Cape May Winery in our annual visits to Cape May for the past few years, but this year we decided to pay the extra money for the Vineyard Tour. Honestly, we weren't sure that the $20/person fee that they were charging was going to be worth it, but we took the chance............and we were SO glad that we did!

For the $20 charge, we received the usual souvenir wine glass, of course, but we were also treated to tastings of 8-10 wines and cheese/fresh fruit samples. The tour of the winery and vineyard, however, was THE best!!!!!!!!!!

Mark, our tour guide, is obviously in love with wines & the winery and his tour truly reflected that. Not only did he give us much information about the winery & the wines it produces, but he was a never-ending source of tips as to how to store wine, how to save leftover wine (not a problem that we have very often), and so much more! His comments were informative, interesting, and humorous.............so much so that we will probably try to do the tour again next year.

I do hope that the Cape May Winery realizes what an asset they have. Between the good wines and this fine tour guide, this winery has NO excuse but to grow..........and to grow BIG!
