We chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. Before booking we reviewed the hotel and I did have some reservations but went forward with the booking anyhow. Once here I was very surprised at how nice the room and view was. We stayed in a room on the fourth floor overlooking the ocean. The two bedrooms were spacious, the balcony was nice with access from both bedrooms. The living room and kitchen were larger than expected. The hotel is within walking distance from some nice shopping.

Rarely does a room look better than in the photos - but this is one of those cases. Also, this is a beach community - and if you have ever stayed at a beach hotel you will know that the quality is often less than that of normal hotels, but this one does not have the summer worn feel that many in beach areas do.

The kitchen is nice, so if you are looking to save money, bring your own food - pre-made, throw in the oven and bake would be great for this place. A coffee maker, plates, and tableware are here, as well as a microwave.

Room Tip: The fourth floor room 406 was very nice. Others may vary, but I could recommend this one. It is on...

This "hotel" is so comfortable that it's easy to forget that you're not staying in your own home. Everyone from the front desk to the staff that cleans your room is friendly and accommodating. Stay there!

Don't know what the complaints are about. Our room was spotless (including carpet), no bugs anywhere in sight. Front office staff were all very pleasant and welcoming. Maid service was excellent. Only negative is that the elevator doesn't run from 11 pm to 8 am. If you are on a high floor and want to go out early for the sunrise or stay out late at one of the great music bars, it's a hike. I'd stay here again but I do wish they'd rethink their elevator policy.

Room Tip: The "F" and "G" rooms have an ocean view, as do the rooms listed as having an oc...

Was there this Labor Day weekend and spent $300/night to stay in an ocean front room. The first night in the room, I experienced an extremely large bug running under the bathroom sink at night. I then killed several large crickets. The manager, Bill Mullins, had the room sprayed the next day. Since he sprayed the room, he felt his obligation to provide customer service was over. I told him I was extremely dissatisfied and he did not care. I will never stay there again. Terrible customer service from a manager who doesn't care.

Last minute plans.. A one night stay was available- a Sat night-
Cost: 399.00 - room 209- overlooking the pool.
Front desk: very nice and quick check in
Room- extremely clean and very nice- two bedrooms- kitchen- living room & dining room
There was only 4 adults but the room was so spacious- could fit 6 or more
Next door was the Rusty Nail- a restaurant & bar- nice place to hang out
Beach- right across the street. It was 6.00 to get on beach
What do to- anything you want- we rode our bikes everywhere- parking is limited.
So many restaurants to choose from, ice cream stores everywhere, coffee places too.
I would definitely stay at the Summer Station again but longer. A great place and a clean place to stay..

We stayed at the Summer Station Hotel in Cape May for a Family Reunion. It was nice since there were some central areas to meet. We had nice views from our beachfront room.

Be advised the elevators only operate certain hours so if you need to leave early with luggage you will need to be aware you will be carrying down the stairs.

Room Tip: Nice views from the oceanfront rooms.

I have stayed at Summer Station many times and can't say enough good things about it. The location is great, across from the beach and you can walk to anywhere in town. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The pool is well maintained and always clean. It is well worth the money.
