We have eaten here 4-5 times this summer. The food is excellent but unfortunately the service was poor the last time we were there. We waited at least 30 minutes for our entrees only after we asked where it was. Our dishes then sat for another 15 minutes before they took them away. We spoke to the owner about this and he didn't seem at all apologetic. Upon leaving he said thanks and see you again. We guessed that he didn't even remember our conversation. Doubt we would ever go back. We can get excellent food and service down the street.

This was our first My family had a pleasant stay at the Blue Rose Inn. Everyone was so caring and the service was outstanding! The rooms are spacious, the service is amazing and the restaurant was excellent!!! The food was so fresh! We will definitely be coming back. I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Our room was the Ivory room and it was very spacious with a King size bed. The room was very modern...

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Rose Inn this past weekend for our anniversary. This was our first time at a B&B at Cape May although we've been there many times. The inn is beautiful and the owners were very friendly and personable as were all of the staff. In addition to breakfast each day, the last night we ate dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was delicious! The location was great, close to shopping and the beach.

The Blue Rose Inn is definitely a safe bet for your vacation in Cape May. We stayed here for three nights and have the warmest memories of it. Every single aspect of our stay was great. The Inn has great rooms. We stayed in a Blue room. The room is cosy and charming with reeeeally soft bed sheets. Got to note that all the amenities appear better and newer in person than on the website pictures.
They have a great porch that we spent whole lot of our time at rocking in those woven chairs. And another great feature is the location of the Inn. It is situated on a quiet street seemingly away from all the hustle of the touristic activity. But just walk one block and you are in the heart of the city center. One more block and you are at the beach. The Inn keepers offer complimentary beach chairs that are very comfortable.
In general, the Inn keepers make you feel like home. A special shot out to Justin who made sure we felt as welcomed and comfortable as possible.
And of course the food... One of the greatest advantages of this Inn is that they have a restaurant on the premises. And every single item, including bread and all the pastries, is made right there. We had dinner there the first night and were quite impressed. The breakfast are just amazingly delicious! Honestly, we ate too much! But we just couldn't stop. We had a few everyday favorites like Croque Madame and French toast, but the we also needed to try the other things. All the chef's omelets are outstanding with honey glazed potatoes. Mmmmmm..... And the brioche bread they bake is to die for... The breakfast menu is not too long but extremely diverse! It is perfect!
It was our first stay in B&B. And The Blue Rose Inn made it a blast! If we ever coming back to Cape May we have no doubts about where to stay.

My wife and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and it was an incredible experience. The house is absolutely beautiful and full of charm! We stayed in the green room, its impecaby decorated and very cozy. The room was quite large and has its own bathroom.

My favorite part of our stay has to be the restaurant. For starters you get breakfast in the dining room everyday with a full menu to choose from. We had french toast, pancakes, granola and omelets. All of it was delicious! Additionally the french pressed coffee with beans ground in house was amazing. We even took a cup to go on our way to the beach! The dinner menu offers something for everyone. We started with Shrimp Cocktails and Fried Calamari Salad. Both were generous portions and excellently presented. My wife had scallops while I had the Filet. Both were delicious, cooked perfect and full of flavor! We finished the night off with a cheesecake sampler and an apple crostata. The cheesecake were out of this world. I still can't decide which of the 3 is my favorite. It was by far the best meal we had during our stay in Cape May.

All in all the Blue Rose is a gem in a town full of wonderful places. It has a great location, just 2 blocks from Washington Square and the beach. The service was great, everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this establishment and I look forward to visiting again soon!

Room Tip: The Green Room faces the ocean for a great breeze and has plenty of room!

We visited the Blue Rose Inn this weekend and thought it was spectacular in every way! The Inn is charming and quite comfortable. All of the details were well thought out. The food was spectacular for both brunch and dinner was outstanding- great attention was placed on every detail. The pork and scallops are something to write home about!!
The owners and family that run the Inn are extremely personable! We had a great time getting to know them. We look forward to our next trip and will recommend The Blue Rose to our friends and family.

We visited the Blue Rose Inn for dinner for the first time on a recent visit to Cape May, and were extremely pleased with the experience. Everything was perfectly executed and delicious. Standouts included the delicious corn and crab soup and excellent calamari as starters. For main courses, my marinated hanger steak was tasty and cooked exactly to the specified temperature. My wife's roasted pork pappardelle was hearty, well-seasoned and very satisfying (I may need to order it for myself on a future visit). We had to run to a prior commitment and did not get to sample dessert, but from what we saw, the offerings looked quite pleasing. In a place like Cape May where there are already so many outstanding restaurants from which to choose, it's great to know that we now have yet another worthy fine dining option. We certainly wish the Blue Rose all the best. I think they are well on their way, and we look forward to dining there again.
