These folks were very accomodating, took us in although close to closing, great crabcakes, and did a few extra kindnesses for us.

We visit Cape May every year and a big part of our trips there are centered around lunch at Georges. Great food, excellent coffee. Parking can be a pain at the meters...but the meal is worth it, got to get there early or you may just not be able to get in before they close for the afternoon...but it is worth it. The Spanakopita, (only available at dinner) is just amazing. When we leave Cape May to head home it is early lunch at George's and get Gyros to go for the trip. Pack your bags, head to the Cape and get your self and your friend to Georges. And when there the best dinner along the coast will be in Atlantic City. Do yourself a favor and have at least one dinner at Georges. Make sure you get a reservation or you will be outside looking in. Almost forgot...breakfast, why would you go anyplace else.

We go to George's on almost all our trips to Cape May, most often for breakfast. They have such original and delicious choices, it's a required stop. But the atmosphere is more like a diner so don't go expecting fine dining. Place is small, does not take reservations and only takes cash so be prepared. If you arrive at a peak time, be prepared to wait.

We walked in for breakfast. its a small restaurant - perhaps 10 tables which gives it a nice intimacy you don't get in the big "breakfast houses" nearby. They have hash brown potatoes - well prepared and good. Welcoming service - glad we went

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at George's. Started with pita and hummus, tasty and fresh. Then moved on to gyros, one chicken, one regular. Both were good but needed a little more meat. Tomato, onions, lettuce all very fresh. Sauce was very good, too. It's a small place, right across the street from the beach. Go early or slightly off peak hours to save you the wait. Service is on top of everything.
