This is an Italian restaurant, situated on the Washington mall (walking promenade with shops and restaurants). Wonderful menu- the selections were delicious (and very reasonable). Our best meal of the week!!

Always a favorite when we're in Cape May. This time Cucina Rosa had something new -- "diminutive" servings -- larger than an appetizer but smaller than a standard entree portion -- what a super idea. With a salad (and a shared dessert) it was perfect. Very good service and lovely presentation. Their trio of mushrooms with bow tie pasta is my vegetarian choice but I understand that the fish dishes were excellent, also.

We always eat at least one dinner here when we go to Cape May and have never been disappointed. Food is always good, service is wonderful, and it's a cozy place for couples. Even though we experienced a black out at the end of our meal (apparently a transformer blew in Cape May), the staff took it in stride. Highly recommend.

The "Jersey Tomato" Salad was swimming in balsamic vinegar; I suppose it was to hide the fact that they were not really Jersey Tomatoes. My mussels were shriveled and sitting on top of a greasy red sauce. The sauce was actually separating from the oil. I had to leave the restaurant before coffee and dessert were served; food poisoning! I have been to this restaurant two times prior the mussel disaster and never really had a good meal. The only good reason to go here is that you can bring your own wine.

Our group of 4 ate here twice during our week long stay in Cape May. We took a chance - seeing some negative reviews. We loved it so much after the first dinner we went back! You should definetely give it a try!
