“Pricey But Tasty”
Reviewed July 6, 2006

Wanted to experience a well-known restaurant during our long weekend at the cape, and the yellow and white awnings sold us. We ate a lovely meal outside with an a capella singer entertaining the patrons. It was about $80 for both of us, but was to be expected for the area/cuisine. Probably will try another place when we return, but nothing bad to say here.

“Breakfast Bliss!”
Reviewed May 20, 2006

The Mad Batter is a one-of-a-kind breakfast experience - while you can get the standard omelette and french toast fare, it's the other specials and items (plus the factor of getting a Mimosa or Bloody Mary is great 7 days a week)...the Chesapeake Bay Benedict is crabcake / Eggs Benedict rollled into one.

Try the Victorian brunch - a basket of freshly baked muffins/breads served with preserves and fresh SOFT (not a frozen) creamy butter...wash down with freshly squeezed juices and watch the world walk by from the enclosed front porch...

Be ready to walk off all those calories on the Washington Street shopping area or lounge on the beach - this Cape May classic also serves an excellent lunch and dinner...
