“Tasty Brunch!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

Expect a wait for brunch, but it is worth it. The chorizo and egg wrap was really messy, but oh so good! The stuffed french toast with apples was very tasty. The service was a bit lacking, but the place was very busy so maybe they were understaffed -- it was Sunday morning after all. Took a while to get refills on our water, the coffee was so bad I opted out on a refill. Overall the food was delicious and we would definitely go back on our next trip to Cape May.

“Love it here!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We have only been here for brunch but I always say we need to try dinner! Try to make reservations as there is usually a wait but it is well worth it. Love the clam chowder and my favorite is the Chesapeake Eggs benedict with a mimosa on the side!

“Service was not so good...”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We visited the Mad Batter for an early dinner. We arrived at 4:30 but they would not seat us as their dinner service does not start until 5. So we had a seat at the bar to wait. And wait we did! We were there for quite a while before the bartender came over to us. The bar was full but there were two women behind the bar and it only holds about 25 people. When we finally did get our drinks, I was served the wrong beer. I asked for a Corona Light and was served a Miller Lite. I pointed this out to the bartender but told her it was okay and that I would drink it anyway. She did not comp it, or even discount it! Our dinner was delicious but the waitress never came back to fill our water glasses (that's all we were drinking) and took a long time to bring our check. I had to walk over to the service area and ask the staff to find our waitress so we could pay our check and go. All in all the food was great but the service left a lot to be desired. And it was off season - I can't imagine them handling a summer crowd!
