Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

“Too noisy”
Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

The Blue Pig Tavern will not disappoint when it comes to food. However I would not recommend this place for a romantic or quiet dinner. It is a very loud restaurant & I could not wait to finish my meal so we could leave. The owners need to hire an acoustic engineer to remedy the problem.

“A Delicious Lunch”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We were staying at the Marriott in Absecon, NJ and decided to visit Cape May, NJ and discovered the Blue Pig which is part of the Congressional Hotel. Since it was a lovely day, the 4 of us decided to eat outside under an umbrella. The menu has unique choices. We each tried something different and were very pleased with all the choices as we sampled each other's dish.
Since we enjoyed lunch so much, we made a reservation and returned the following evening for dinner. I look forward to another visit to this restaurant.

Had a great, crisp meal made from local ingredients right off the beach in Cape May. Excellent dinner, really enjoyed it.
