Description: In the Spring of 1988 on the corner of Pacific and Spencer in Wildwood New Jersey, Letitia Negro opened a ten table restaurant known for "Home Cooking". The $9.95 three course price fix menu featured family favorites and "Made from the heart" cuisine. The food, like its Restaurant School graduate chef/owner, was genuine, unique and unforgettable. The end of Tisha's Home Cooking came early in the 1990's, but in turn became the beginning of Tisha's Fine Dining in Cape May. In 1995, Paul Negro, son of Letitia, and his wife Jennifer continued the tradition here in Cape May. Paul took what he learned from his mother, added his own talent and love for food, and established a great following. Some things have changed in the city and the restaurant has now moved from the solarium building on the beach to its new home on the Washington Street Mall. No matter where they are Paul and Jennifer will proudly continue the tradition of love and passion for food and people in honor of Tisha, an amazing friend, mother and chef.

Sat outside for lunch on a beautiful day. Ordered the crabcake sandwich and the bacon, egg and cheeseburger. Burger perfectly cooked. Moist with a chargrilled taste. Service was warm and friendly. Would definitely go back

We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and awesome meal. Apps were hot and tasty. Entrees were also good. Nicely varied menu as we had 2 vegetarians with us and they had no problems finding selections. My pescatore and fried oysters were wonderful. Definitely one of my top 2 meals during my week in Cape May.

We finally made it to Tisha's on our most recent visit to Cape May. We have heard the buzz on every trip we made there so we made sure to make a reservation this time. The restaurant is very nice with a great outdoor space in the front ( facing the mall area) and the back ( facing the parking lot). It is BYOB but you can purchase wines from the Cape May vineyards if you forget your vino or cocktail choice. The menu has alot of choices to choose from so there is something for everyone. We ordered the special seafood pasta which was linguine with clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp in a white wine garlic sauce. Delicious! We also had the pork chop milanese.
To start we had the clam chowder which was good but I have had better. The house salad with the balsamic which came with the entree was very good along with the caeser salad which was delicious as well. The portions were a nice size. The service was good but it was a bit slower than expected - it was a busy evening though so wont complain.
Excellent restaurant - food is fabulous! A must when visiting Cape May

Once you get past that Tish's decor is very simple, you will enjoy one of the best dinners in all of Cape May. My boyfriend and I split the lobster risotto for an apitizer, it was outstanding. We both ordered the Thai Salmon, each bite was like you died and went to heaven. If you like bread pudding, get ready for the cream of the crop. Our server Natlie was adorable or efficient and helped to make Tish;s a wonderful experience.Ask to sit in the bacl room, a little nicier than the front.

I dined at Tisha's as part of a party of seven. The food we all had was good, however, the service was excruciatingly slow. The time between apps and entrees was so long I almost forgot what I had ordered. It took almost 3 hours to complete our meal. Also, they serve only a local wine label which was really bad. The worst part was that, due to the size of our table, our waitress was able to include her gratuity automatically to the tab. She certainly would not have received that size tip for her prolonged absence throughout the meal.
