Description: In the Spring of 1988 on the corner of Pacific and Spencer in Wildwood New Jersey, Letitia Negro opened a ten table restaurant known for "Home Cooking". The $9.95 three course price fix menu featured family favorites and "Made from the heart" cuisine. The food, like its Restaurant School graduate chef/owner, was genuine, unique and unforgettable. The end of Tisha's Home Cooking came early in the 1990's, but in turn became the beginning of Tisha's Fine Dining in Cape May. In 1995, Paul Negro, son of Letitia, and his wife Jennifer continued the tradition here in Cape May. Paul took what he learned from his mother, added his own talent and love for food, and established a great following. Some things have changed in the city and the restaurant has now moved from the solarium building on the beach to its new home on the Washington Street Mall. No matter where they are Paul and Jennifer will proudly continue the tradition of love and passion for food and people in honor of Tisha, an amazing friend, mother and chef.

We have dined at Tisha's a number of times and while their food is an 8 out of 10, the staff is so unwelcoming and unfriendly that we will not go back again. They all act like they're doing you a big favor serving you. There are an abundance of Cape May restaurants where you get both good food and good service, so there's no reason to be treated so rudely. I could go into details about the bad attitude of waitress and hostess, but the details aren't important. We're just not returning.

One of the best dinners that I have ever had in Cape May. Food and service were top notch. I love the location on the mall. Tables have beautiful linen clothes and have enough space between them. You don't feel rushed or crowded. A nice place for fine dining. I thank the previous reviews for helping me select Tisha's.

Very nice outdoor seating during good weather. I have been here for dinner several times and breakfast once. The food is always well presented and very good. The service at breakfast was lacking. The girls did not seem to be tuned in to filling water or coffee. At dinner the servers were always very good at making sure glasses were filled. This is a place not to miss in Cape May.

Showed up at 9:00pm, after a Hurricane and the city was empty.....several tables available. Ordered a 30$ bottle of wine because they do not serve wine by the glass. Then being late and not real hungry we decide to order an entree and salad to split. Not allowed! We are told we can not do that. We are informed that we must order two entrees. We are then made to feel like like they did us a favor and would let us "get away with it this time". The sorbet they serve between meals came for one....all the while we were sitting next to a Dairy Queen with kids running around. My husband and I have traveled so many places and were so surprised with this experience that we had to write a comment. Do NOT visit this restaurant

Four members of my family attended this wounderful family owned and opperated restaurant last week. We were so pleased the first night, we returned two evenings later. We are from New York City, where we have dined in many fine establishments. Tisha"s can hold it's own with the best of them. The food was awesome. The service was excellent as well as friendly and professional. The atmosphere was charming. We never visit Cape May without visiting Tisha's, and have never been dissappointed in any way. Thanks again for two more memorable dining experiences. Roz and Alex Huster Riverdale, New york
