“Great Ocean View, Clean, Courteous, and Helpful Staff, Good Price”
Reviewed July 5, 2010

Our first time ever in Cape May was made even more enjoyable by the staff and accommodations at the Camelot. The other guests were all courteous and the ocean view was great. The staff at the Camelot was very helpful. After we left our headlights on the head of Maintenance offered me a jumper box to start my car with! The women at the desk was a third generation Cape May resident and the daughter and granddaughter of fishermen. She was very kind and shared some great stories. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

The managers made restaurant recommendations (we loved Lucky Bones and Lobster House), lent us a blow dryer, and even swept the snow off of everyone cars in the morning. They are very supportive of the Coast Guard recruits' families.
Quiet rooms. Many family members stayed there, because family was graduating from boot camp.

my family stayed at the camelot for the sole purpose of using the pool as much as possible- which was a good thing because we arrived there after a series of heavy storms, and the beach was really rough- even for experienced swimmers.

we arrived early and were told to go to the pool and park the car. the rooms were ready within an hour. the pool is small, but it's worth it. there are chairs, tables, and umbrellas outside. my group consisted of 7 adults and 2 infants- there were other families there too which was nice.

the rooms are nothing to shake a stick at. we had a 1 bedroom with a kitchen. it was spacious, but i ended up sleeping on a pullout couch. the table and chairs outside along with the ash trays is a nice touch- every room has a balcony- most on the upper floors have an ocean view. it's located across the street from an arcade, so at night you can hear the games, but it's not that big a deal.

the pool is uspposed to close at 7 or something, but the propriters kept it open for my party to have a barbeque.

the cleaning staff were very courteous.

i will return next summer.

The Camelot is a great place to stay in Cape May. It is clean and the staff are very friendly. It is close enough in walking distance to the Washington Street Mall so you can park your car at the motel and not have to worry where you are going to park. It is a great view of the ocean.

From the my first call to the Camelot to checkout, every thing was "just right." The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The 2-room efficiency was clean, neat, updated, and had everything we needed. The window & balcony view of the ocean was magnificient. The view out of the back of the efficiency wasn't bad either! Our stay was perfect. We loved the afforablity and location of this motel. Given our interests, it could not have been better. We re-booked at check-out. The Camelot certainly has our vote of confidence and appreciation.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, my family and I were treated like old friends by the hotel staff. The room was clean and everything was in good order, air conditioner worked well during the hot day and we especially appreciated the fridge and microwave for left-overs.

The hotel also has two brand-new gas grills on the property and we saved a ton of money buying food and cooking it on the grill. Everyone in my family enjoyed the steak and shrimp with a nice char broil on it from the grill and it was a quarter of the price it would be in the restaurants. When we did hit the local eateries (there are so many great choices), we inevitably had leftovers that we could reheat the next day in the microwave for lunch.

Perfect location- literally steps from the beach, arcade, miniature golf, a couple restaurants, a movie theatre, a bunch of gift shops, Rita's and two candy shops. One poster said the location was not ideal and that is laughable. Check out the pictures I'm posting with this review and you'll see what I mean.

My family has been staying at the Camelot for years, as part of a large extended family group. We have seen the Camelot improve each year. The current management and staff has been great. The location for us is great, for the beach, for the mall and everything in between. A great pool too, a nice break from the beach. Would recommend as long as you don't take our room away from us. Oh, two outdoor grills now available.
