Impeccable service, cool, sleek design, awesome beach views! Waitress was very knowledgeable, with just the right amount of attention. Apps: lightest best calamari we've had in a long time - also not an overwhelming portion - just an app, which we liked. Tuna app was nicely peppered, though the sauce was a bit sweet for me. Salads were extremely fresh, but a bit pedestrian on ingredients, and really on one real salad to select (the other added chicken) - a bit disappointing. Smoked trout and beet app - outstanding!! Try it! Entrees: ginger shrimp and scallops were two of the best entrees in Cape May! Swordfish was fresh and well prepared, but the sauce was boring. Desserts - get the banana springroll with burnt honey ice cream! Others were good too! This is a great spot witth almost great food - a few more salads and some slightly better sauces and it is a home run! Can't wait to try it again!

It was great to sit outdoors on both occasions. The food was really great! We did have issues each time we went, but the service we got once we made the staff aware was excellent. One time involved a strand of hair in the food (they deducted that from the check), and the second occasion was the almost non-existent fish in a red snapper ceviche, which was almost all tomato/cilantro, etc. The wait staff gladly exchanged it for a proper ceviche. All in all, we recommend the place highly if you want quality food & don't mind paying for it.

Beautiful layout and great food. The view from eating on the deck was superb. The service was top notch. The chef came out personally himself to see if we enjoyed our meal.

I'm used to Tripadvisor reviews way over-rating, and the 4-5-star ratings of Sea Salt are not exception. Do not believe those reviews This place will impress those who go out to eat only when on vacation, for an anniversary, etc. For those who frequent fine dining establishments, this place is even more of a let-down than most of the other pseudo-gourmet restaurants in Cape May. The atmosphere is neat, but not elegant (no tablecloths), and they serve the wine and the water in the same glasses (no differentiation for different types of wine or even that you're having wine).

The food is a crap shoot. The calamari and the shrimp apps were tasty, but little did we know that this would be the best part of the meal. The bread basket is a joke; I've had better bread in diners. The crab bisque was watery and fishy (we sent them back). My husband's rib-eye was dry and overdone (although he asked for it medium well). My lobster ravioli was floating in oil, and I honestly could not taste the lobster. All this might not bother me if I were paying $15 for an entree, but when I'm paying $30+ for an entree, I expect to get the food and atmosphere that goes along with that.

The only positive part of the dinner experience was the service. Everyone there, from host/hostess to server to water boy were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Our bill came to approx. $175 (without the tip) for two. We certainly did not get a meal worth that. Obviously, I would not recommend this place for dinner.
