We had a very disappointing experience on this walking tour. We went on the 10:00PM tour following the dinner theater (which was a lot of fun!). We were having such a good time that we didn't want the night to end and as a result signed up for the ghost tour. Unfortunately, we were disappointed.
The tour guide, Kaitlyn, was in a rush throughout the whole tour. She walked speed-walked backwards, talked a mile a minute, and did not stop for more than 10 seconds for her guests to take in the stories or the buildings she was referring to.
We had an expectant mother on the tour in addition to two individuals with various knee and hip injuries. When these guests expressed that the tour was going too fast, the tour guide basically ignored them and continued.
The sidewalks of Cape May can be uneven, narrow and crowded (even later at night). Moving so quickly through the tour was a hazard, left us with little to be remembered, and as a result made it utterly unenjoyable.
When we returned to Elaine's, Kaitlyn explained that she would wait "awkwardly for two minutes" for tips before running to catch her bus. I guess that's why we all had to run around like crazy people in the middle of the night in Cape May. So she could catch her bus.
If you are interested in this tour, perhaps look at an earlier time. Or try to get the other tour guide.
