We have been to Cape May many times and this was certainly one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Our room was bright and comfortable. But the best part of the stay was MaryAnn and Jay. All too often the inn keepers are barely visible, but they were very accommodating and friendly. They made our stay one to remember. We have to mentions Jays skills at preparing breakfast and after noon tea time. Recommend to call and stay there.

My boyfriend and I had never been to Cape May before or stayed at a B&B. We had an excellent stay! Our hosts, MaryAnn and Jay, were super friendly, always informed and included us in the activities going on at the Inn, and made sure we were both comfortable and taken care of. Not to mention, the very yummy sit-down breakfasts that were prepared for us each morning, and 5 o'clock wine and hors d'oeuvres every afternoon, where we had fun conversation with our hosts and other guests at the Inn. Our room (the Margaux) was accurately displayed by pictures, and we even had a chance to view the other unoccupied rooms at the Inn that were very lovely, and I thought were even better than the pictures that were displayed on their website. Very beautiful and tasteful antiques punctuate each room and give each room a uniqueness. We actually enjoyed the location, being less than a 10 min walk to the beach and away from the touristy parts of town. We decided to book our trip here with regard to the great reviews that were touted on this site, and they were correct. It is unknown why anyone would give this place a bad review. It was NOT a dump by any means, and we are not "paid creative writers" but took our first trip as a couple here, and it could not have been any more perfect. In other words, pay no attention to the naysayers behind the curtain here, our stay was sublime. :)

While looking for a place in Cape May we were hoping to experience the famed hospitality of the area. Now we look forward to our next visit to Mary Ann and Jay's home! (They do live there and the Inn is really an extension of their home! :) ) Wine at Five is a MUST - we had lovely wines, met great people, a newly-engaged couple (and neighbours too!) and it felt so at home. (Danielle - I think we caught you on the second night! Congrats again on your engagement!)

The rooms are absolutely beautiful, cosy and very clean - again, felt like home. Breakfast was wonderful too (Sorry Jay, really wanted to have another breakfast but it just didn't work out timewise - next time!) but the great part was the original purchase order of the house, which had the price quoted by the builder back in 1896 or something like that was framed and hung in their dining room. Truly an amazing piece of history! Oh, and the photos hung around the living room are real! Not some random decorative images but relatives of Mary Ann and Jay - fascinating histories indeed!

Everything was in perfect working order (A/C, bathroom) and ample amount of parking. Just one tip: if you have a seriously ridiculous amount of shopping best to get a room in the ground floor or ask if you can keep them downstairs. A lovely soujourn indeed - our sincere thanks to you both again Mary Ann and Jay - wishing you all the best!

Room Tip: Every room has it own character but best contact Mary Ann with your requirements for them to recomme...

I can not say enough nice things about our stay. We stayed in the Saint Julien on the second floor. Nice big room with a great big bathroom! The house was spotless. Mary Ann and Jay were so welcoming. The first night we stayed, we were the only couple there. Sitting on the porch for happy hour was like sitting with friends. Not an awkward moment to be found. The breakfast was amazing. Jay is quite the chef! Not your regular B&B breakfast what so ever. They had great suggestions for dinner and lots of knowledge of the area. No doubt we would definitely return! Oh and to top it off we got engaged!! So having a wonder stay really added to the memory!!!

This was our first visit to Cape May and I will say that our stay at The Inn at the Park, enhanced and added to the enjoyment of our three day getaway. Jay and Mary Ann were truly wonderful hosts. The" wine at five" on the front porch was relaxing as was the conversations with the other guests, Jays appetizers were tasty treats enjoyed by all. Their dining suggestions were spot on as is their knowledge of Cape May. Our room was clean, well maintained, bright and cheerful (The St. Julien). Breakfast was delightfully different every day, the breakfast sausage from the local Butcher's Shop was a real treat and I will say Mary Ann and Jay had no problem accommodating their vegetarian guests. The next time we visit Cape May we will be sure to stay at The Inn at the Park.

This was our first trip to Cape May and we had a wonderful experience. It was a surprise birthday trip for my husband, who is not a beach person. There was so much to do within walking distance or a short bike ride of the Inn at the Park! We had a fantastic relaxing weekend with great hosts. Mary Ann and Jay were fabulous innkeepers. The rooms and house were clean and welcoming. We stayed in the Saint Julien room and enjoyed a private deck and claw foot tub. The gourmet breakfasts were beyond incredible and the wine and hors d oeuvres at 5 were such a great bonus! We will definitely recommend Inn at the Park to family and friends heading down to Cape May and we hope to return ourselves sometime soon!
