“If you stay in the hotel portion - no charm and needs work”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2009

This was part of our honeymoon trip and I don't recommend staying at the newer section of this B&B. It was built a year ago and has no charm. Looks like it was manufacturing with the same materials as a trailer. Very through together. Everything looked plastic. None of the trim lined up and pieces of the walls were falling apart. The breakfast was just french toast, I rather skip their breakfast and go into town. But this place is quite far from the beach. The trop in Atlantic City had more charm that this place. Not to mention that it's difficult to get server breakfast because it is so tight around the tables and nobody likes to pass dishes. Worst experience at at B&B and I am not a snob - in any way. Also - wouldn't swim in the pool - it smelled so bad of chlorine that I was sure that it would burn my eyes if I got too close!

My husband and I took a quick weekend to the shore (eventhough we are only about 30min away) and are so glad we did! The suites are competitively priced with the the "nicer" B&B's in the area, but are SO much roomier, and well equipped. We had the breakfast only the first day and it was fine, but we chose to sleep in the next morning b/c we hated to leave our suite :)

My husband and I stayed in the new suites. They were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We needed a relaxing vacation, and that was exactly what we got. Breakfast was good, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The Wilbraham is in a quiet section of town, but within walking distance to the beach and shopping.

It is within easy walking distance of the beach and shopping. Breakfast is served daily and was fantastic, Parking is on site.
We booked a room in the new addition. Came complete with a two person jacuzzi and a shower for two. Room was spacious environment was romantic. My only negative is our room was near the elevator and sounded as if it was in our room. Same with the next door neighbors when they used the jacuzzi we could hear it. We expected a little better noise control for such recent new construction. A little bit pricey compared to other places. We would return but most likely will look for somewhere a little quieter

My Wife and I went to the Wilbraham on a whim for our anniversary. My Wife found it using Google and we booked a suite for a long weekend. The suites (separate, newer building) are teriffic! Huge 2-person Jacuzzi; 2-person stone-tiled shower. The main house has an indoor heated pool that we would have used had we not contracted sinus infections (no fault of the inn). Within easy walking distance of the entire Cape May area; a Victorian wooded park (Wilbraham Park) right across the street; away from most of the traffic/hustle/bustle/noise. Breakfast is served in the mansion dining room and was very tasty (but only 1 seating). Self-serve "tea" each afternoon with tea and pastry/brownies.

I cannot express how Wonderful the suites are! We have stayed her at least once a year for 4 years running and plan to make it there at least twice this year! The main house is very nice for the B and B part, but the suites are to die for! 2 person showers and jacuzzi's, plenty of room and a few steps to to the indoor 24/7 pool, and an elevator to get your stuff to the upper floors! Call me non-conventional, but if you are looking to relax and get away from alarm clocks, cell phones and just unwind, go here. I am not a purist when it comes to B and B's so the amenities here really won my wife and I over! To be able to run around all day and come back to a pool, jacuzzi, fireplace and a nice room is the best!

There is also dining area to accommodate weddings and other such events the suites building.

I have always had great experiences with the owner and staff.
Breakfast has always been excellent and very filling.
Doug and Sissy have always been gracious and willing to talk if you ask a question.
They have always been very accommodating with our breakfast, restaurant, or any other requests.
We love going here in the semi-off to off season when it's not as crazy in Cape May. Although many of the restuarants are closed or have limited schedules in the off season, we had absolutly no problems with the few that were open. No waits and great service! If you are looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, soothe your body and mind and enjoy a hassle free time, schedule your mental health day(s) here!
Our thanks to Doug and Sissy for their hospitality.
Oh and BTW,
A HUGE THANK YOU to JoAnn for her help!!! : )

My husband and I just arrived home after our third stay at the Wilbraham Mansion. This time it was over our one year anniversary. We love this place so much. We have always felt that the service from booking the room to checking out and everything in between is outstanding.

Sissy is one of the main women we have spoken to numerous times. She is wonderfully kind, and always helpful. Doug, the owner, is great. He is quick to make conversation, give advice on places to eat, things to do, and just make sure you're having a good time. He is very nice, but not pushy. He never made me feel like I was in a used car-lot.

Breakfast was always outstanding, and we enjoyed eating with other guests. Our room was always promptly cleaned to the best possible means, and our room was beautiful. We can't wait to return for a fourth visit!
