This is the restaurant attached to the place where my wife and I were married. It is fantastic. It is not inexpensive, though if you pay attention, there are times when they have special deals and you can get away for a lot less.
The food is quite excellent, and worth the price. A great place for a romantic dinner, or a special celebration.

“Local resident gives it thumbs up!”
Reviewed March 6, 2005

This restaurant is wonderful, we live in the area and go here frequently. I'll get the few negatives out of the way first... A little on the pricey side, but they do run specials and discounts every now and then. The food isn't outrageous (the drinks are), but not for the people looking for bargain eats. It has a bar section that you need to walk through to get to the main dining area and it can be very, very smokey at times. It is a little tough to get to if you aren't familiar with the area. If you're good with following road signs though, no need to worry, it's right on Route 202/206. Despite having a Bridgewater address, it is not really near the actual town of Bridgewater, it is closer to Pluckemin or Bedminster. This is not a family restaurant, it promotes a mature, upper crust atmosphere. Can be tough to get in on peak nights without a reservation and when full can get pretty noisy.

Now the good stuff... The food is simply to die for! Try the chicken Madeline, a personal favorite. The service is usually very good, just let them know what pace you want to dine at, otherwise you'll be there for the traditional "all night dinner." The dining room is decorated very tastefully and they have a fireplace that adds a little romance. Parking is plentiful and free. They have an extensive list of alcoholic beverages and full service bar. It is in a very safe, rural setting too.
