Our apt was being rewired due to hurricane Sandy last year. We needed to be out of it for 6 hours. I had asked a friend who lives in Belmar N.J. where to eat lunch. He suggested Kein's. Belmar is a beautiful town I had visited only once before to attend a wedding. I hoped to explore the town before lunch. The weather turned nasty so we couldn't eat outside on the deck.We headed inside to the spacious room and sat at a table near the river. We were the only ones there due to the weather and being early. Our young cheerful waitress arrived very quickly and took our order of clam chowder and shrimp salad. The chowder was thick, rich, and delicious. The shrimp salad was plated with really good slaw , lettuce, celery sticks and carrot sticks. It was a good size portion of shrimp. We left with a smile!
