My boyfriend and I had dinner at La Dolce Vita for the first time and it was amazing! The Oysters Rockafellar appetizer was the most delicious I have ever eaten. The oyster was the perfect bite and the topping of spinach and parmesan was magnificent. Even the broth that gathered at the bottom of the dish was great for soaking up with the warm crusty bread. We both enjoyed seafood dishes. I had the Gamberoni alla Mala Femmina which was huge shrimp and clams tossed in a light tomato broth over linguine. My boyfriend chose the Billy's Seafood Risotto which has Shrimp, calamare, scallops, mussels, and clams in a light cream sauce. Both dishes offered an abundance of fresh seafood and were extremely plentiful. Overall amazing first experience and I can not wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

We went on a Saturday night. I think if we'd had a better table we may have enjoyed it more. Hard to get to due to road closures in Belmar, but that certainly isn't the restaurants fault...so don't let that discourage you. The food was great! Stuffed artichoke and tuna sashimi for appetizer, muscles and veal osso bucco for entree. Our waiter, Evan, was EXCEPTIONAL!! If you go, ask for him....you won't be sorry. All, a good meal...prices were so so....we will, however go back.

4 of us dined at La Dolce Vita earlier this week. It was the first time any of us had been there. Our table was roomy, and our waiter, Daniel, was most informative about the Specials and the menu. He wore a very big smile and was totally accomodating. We ordered 4 appetizers: mussles marinara, fried calamari, Fantasia Di Mare seafood salad and a stuffed artichoke (special that evening). Every bite was heavenly. Then we ordered 4 pasta entrees and shared them as well. Salad was included with our meals. I moved to the Jersey Shore 3 years ago (from North Jersey) and this was by far the BEST MEAL I have eaten out since moving here. This is Italian food at it's absolute best!!!!! Giuseppe (owner) was also very gracious and accomodating. They have a seasonal liquor license, so in the winter, it is a BYOB.....which they will gradly order anything you would like and have it delivered. We prefer to bring our own. And yes, we had leftovers to enjoy the next day for lunch!!!! We will definely be back for more....and don't forget the Vino! Keep the artichokes on the appetizer menu....it was delicioso!
