From the minute we got out of the car to the time we got back into the car it was paradise! Marty and Joyce and the perfect hosts. The room were awesome, we stayed in the Sea of Love room and the Bed was the best sleep I got in years. The food was out of the world. The atmosphere of the whole B&B was so amazing, it was like I was at home, only much nicer and all the comforts of home. Joyce is an A+ cook and Marty made you feel right at home. I recomend this place to anyone who loves to live life and be treated like a King and Queen.

Room Tip: Any room is a great room but if you are looking for a good night sleep I recomend the "Sea of L...

Sea of Love was the name of the room for our stay during this wonderful weekend at the Saltwater Inn. The room was very private, peaceful and extremely comfortable (especially the King tempur-pedic cloud mattress). The Inn is exceptionally clean, meticulously maintained and as soon as you step in the door surrounds you with a welcoming and relaxing feeling. The hospitality and service is outstanding as is the fresh homemade breakfast each morning. We did go off season and took advantage of a romance special which included a certificate to a local restaurant each night. Luckily it was warm enough that we were able to take advantage of the beautiful porch from which we saw a shooting star. Belmar was a pleasant surprise and is a nice town with many great restaurants. It's fun to drive around the neighborhoods and see the unique homes. The newly built boardwalk is a great walk along the ocean and town. We saw the most amazing sunset we have ever seen and are still talking about it. We even saw dolphins the next morning which we did not expect at this time of year. I highly recommend the Saltwater Inn as an upscale bed and breakfast with all the right touches and conveniences.

Arrived Friday afternoon for Saturday wedding. It Is in a pretty neighborhood just a very short walk from the beach. Lovely, quaint, well appointed home. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Breakfasts were delicious and we had an all around great stay. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms in this B&B are lovely!

Arrived on Friday afternoon and was met by Marty and Joyce, the minute you walk in you feel immediately relaxed; soft music plays in the background, refreshments were offered before we even checked in and you almost feel like your being welcomed into the home as a close friend or family member. Marty quickly checked us in and helped bring our luggage to the room, everything was effortless.

Food was absolutely amazing, everything was homemade and delicious. We had a fresh herb quiche topped with bacon and skewered roasted peppers from the garden the first morning and cinnamon banana waffles with sausage and apple skewers the second morning.

The location is great, 2 blocks from the beach/boardwalk and 4 blocks from Main street both are very walk-able distances. If we ever find ourselves back in Belmar we will be staying at the Saltwater Inn again.

Tips for Belmar:

Bring any wine you want to drink with you the liquor stores were really over priced.

There is a coffee place "The Perfect Perk Cafe" about 1.5 miles north on Main st that has good coffee and they are open late (for those of you that drink coffee after 3pm...). Otherwise your other option is Dunkin (yuk!) and all the other local coffee shops close early.

Last one is there is a Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant called Kaya's Kitchen on Main st (Main and 10th just 4 blocks from Saltwater Inn) that was a nice surprise for us, we wanted something a bit lighter and on the healthier side, this place has a good variety of food and is reasonably priced (depending what you have). Sometimes you just don't want a burger, tacos or pizza ya know.

We had an excellent stay at Saltwater Inn. We were greeted by the Owner and he helped us with our luggage We had two terrific breakfasts and felt that the owners could not do enough for us The accomodations were very clean and we felt very comfortable. My wif and I would stay at the Inn any time we had occasion to visit Belmar or the surrouding area.
