My wife and I decided last minute to head out of town and hit the beach. Not knowing the Jersey shore too well, I checked tripadvisor for some assistance. We were led to the Saltwater Inn and could not have been happier about the decision. First, the location is two short blocks to an incredibly beautiful beach. We went on a Monday and while it may not be the busiest day, the beach was big, clean, and hit spot.
The Saltwater Inn is in a great little section of Belmar and as far as B&Bs go, it has everything you could ask for. The innkeepers, Joyce and Marty, clearly focus on detail and the Inn is the perfect spot for a getaway. The breakfast was great and the only thing I was left wondering was when I could find my way back for another break from life's hustle and bustle.

We had such a relaxing time at the Saltwater Inn. Marty and Joyce have such a clean, well decorated home. Each morning we were greeted with fesh coffee and gourmet breakfast.

We really felt at home.

Can't wait to go back!

We just spent the Saturday/ Sunday of 4th of July weekend at the Saltwater Inn in Belmar. What a delightful B&B with character and awesome hospitality. Our room was beautiful and very nicely appointed. The attention to detail was amazing, with the hair dryer having sea stones embedded on the handle. Everything is a shore/ beach theme. The convenience of having parking near the beach (its just 2 blocks away from the boardwalk), beach passes provided and an incredible gourmet breakfast served at relaxing outdoor tables made the visit extra special. The room was comfortable (had the large King suite with a very comfortable bed) and was super clean and very well appointed. The Inn owners, Joyce and Marty could not have been more hospitable, friendly and accomodating to us. They make it a point to NOT have online reservations so that they can speak with every potential guest to assure that all rules are explained and understood so that all guests have an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Their focus on health and well-being and organic foods and "green" initiatives is refreshing and consistent. We will definitely be back again and will tell our friends about this great find at the Jersey shore!

Room Tip: Discuss the room options with Marty and Joyce when calling to make your reservation. They will expl...

My husband and I had a great time at Saltwater for the July 4th holiday. The Inn has a great location, two blocks from the beach and walkable distance to Belmar restuarants. Breakfast was delicous and beautifully presented. Marty and Joyce are wonderful hosts and we would definitely book again for a Belmar weekend.

We had a wonderful time at the Saltwater Inn this weekend. My husband and I got away for only one night. Two nights would have been even better. The inn is just beautiful. The pictures on their website don't do it justice. It was impeccably clean and decorated perfectly. The beds were soo comfortable, and the owners were extremely welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Our room the Ocean Voyage had a large , very updated bathroom. It was also very quiet.

We booked early for the holiday weekend but our daughter's second child's arrival caused us to make changes. Marty worked with us to accommodate those needs and the changes in the schedule. This was our second year in a row and again not disappointed with any part of the stay.We stayed in a different room this year and enjoyed it as much as last year. They have your needs as their primary concern. If you want to unwind and relax this is the place to stay. Don't think twice about booking here you will not regret the choice. Thank you both again for working with us and providing and excellent stay. We ail be back again next season.

Room Tip: A great tip... if you ask they will try to make it happen.

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Saltwater Inn. We were looking for an Inn that would be very relaxing, as we took a little get-away while the kids were in summer camp, and this Inn was absolutely perfect if you are looking for relaxation and a feeling of tranquility. Located just two short blocks from the beach, and in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. It was so nice to just stroll along the streets without the "touristy" feel of other shore towns. The area has a very quaint feel to it. We usually vacation down South or in New England, but we decided this year that we would take a sojourn to Northern New Jersey to help patronize those hit worst by Hurricane Sandy. We were so happy to see this community had pulled together, and that there was a new boardwalk up, and people were coming to the beaches. It just all had a good feel to it, and staying at the Saltwater Inn only added to that feel. Rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed. Really enjoyed breakfast in the mornings on the beautiful wraparound porch, and the cooking was superb. Joyce will make you an excellent gourmet breakfast! Marty and Joyce go out of their way to make sure you are always happy, and have everything you need during your stay. Don't hesitate to book here. It's the best play in town!

Room Tip: We preferred the third floor - it was quiet - but warm. I'm not sure if the rooms on the second...
