This is a charming, comfortable B&B. We were there through awful weather but there was an air of warmth and comfort throughout. The hosts are very accomodatingand they put out a terrific breakfast with something for everyone.

I grew up in the hotel industry...so when i do chose to stay away from home, alot goes into my selection. The Victoria Guest House is not only among the cleanist of any place i've been to, the location is also perfect...right in the center of Beach Haven on Long Beach Island. This guest house is very unique...it's PERFECT!!! The rooms are spacious and beautifully maintained. You need nothing but your overnight bag: Judy and John Miller provide you with beach badges, beach towels and bags, beach chairs, bikes and there is also a heated inground pool for those who prefer pool to beach....the guest house is also 3 doors from the beach. The Millers will answer your many questions about this great island...make suggestions...and FEED you!!!...A full breakfast is available every morning thru 10 am... IS IT ANY WONDER THAT A GOOD PERCENTAGE OF GUESTS HERE RETURN TIME AFTER TIME? My husband and I have been frequenting the Victoria Guest House for the past 10 years.....so, what's keeping you?...get on that phone and call for reservations!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the B&B for a week’s vacation (6 night and 7 days)

Description of B&Bs:
There are two “sister” Victorian beach houses located side by side and you have access to both houses. They feature wrap around porches, white wicker furniture, a hammock, a heated pool with pretty cushioned chaise lounges, outdoor showers, bikes and Nautica beach chairs. You also get beach badges with your stay. There are pretty flowers around each house and along the pool. The rooms are “beachy” and decorated with antiques, have air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV and private bathroom along with an LL Bean beach bag with beach towels to use for the week. If it rains, they have nice parlors located towards the front of the houses and have a DVD library and offer wireless internet. It is the perfect setting for a romantic Jersey shore weekend getaway. >>>>

They offer a continental breakfast (yogurt, fruit, various breads, cakes, cereal, hard boiled eggs, granola, coffee, tea, OJ etc) along with one featured hot item each morning. John and Judy (run the B&B) make excellent French toast and pancakes! They also offer iced tea, lemonade and cookies or cake on the porch in the afternoon.>>>>

The B&B is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We had sunset drinks on the porch with John, Judy and other guests that were staying at the B&B one night. Spontaneous fun! >>>>

Prime Location:
The B&Bs are located a half a block back from the beach and a few blocks in from town. You have easy access to shops and restaurants. The beaches were beautiful -- crystal clear water, big waves and tons of seashells along the shore. The town green is located across the street from the B&B so you see people waking their dogs and playing frisbee etc. Nice surprise: In the summer, they have a concert every Wed in the gazebo which is located right across the street from the B&B porch. People bring their beach chairs and hang out on the green and listen to the free concert. We were sitting on the porch drinking wine and decided to stay and have a pizza delivered to the house and listen to jazz music all night. Very fun and relaxing.>>>>

The Engleside Inn and Sea Shell Hotel are located on the beach down from block from the B&B. One day we walked off the beach and met up with friends at their Tiki bar (have a live happy hour band) and another night we went there for a night cap after dinner and walked along the beach during a full moon evening. It is nice to know that you can have access to the beach restaurants if you want to go there and equally as nice to walk away from crowds and stay at the peaceful Victoria B&B. >>>>

Surflight Theater:
Located one block away from B&B. We decided to walk across the green and go see the “Buddy Holly” show on a rainy night and were very happy that we did! I lived in NYC for over 20 years and still work there. I am used to seeing Broadway shows so I had managed expectations. Seeing this show was one of the highlights of our vacation! The music and acting were great. Strongly suggest that you check out this talented theater group during your stay.>>>>

Biking:
Biked everyday. We enjoyed biking out to Holgate and checking out the bird sanctuary and beaches. We also drove car out to Barnegat lighthouse and biked around love ladies and harvey cedars section as well. >>>>

Dinner:
Best meals we had were at www.gableslbi.com (a beautiful Victorian house. You can dine on outside porch, inside living room with fireplace or out back in their garden) and www.plantationrestaurant.com in the Harvey Cedars section of island. Sunset drinks: The Ketch on the bay side.>>>>>

Recap: If you are looking for a beachy, relaxed, romantic getaway weekend or vacation, Victoria Guest House Bed & Breakfast is the place to stay! John and Judy are very accommodating managers and made our weeklong stay at the B&B a wonderful experience.

We just got back from our Labor Day weekend stay. We've been to many BnBs and this one is very nice. The amenities are really great. Nice BIG beach towels, newish clean well working beach chairs, bikes which we did not use, nice porches, a hammock, a heated pool, DVDs (a really nice selection), beach badges, outdoor showers, wireless internet in rooms. The breakfast is great and is a combo buffet/made to order. Better than some breakfasts we've had, but probably not the best. The hosts are very friendly and nice. They made a dinner reservation for us within fifteen minutes of our arrival. Nice! The location is very good. Parking on the street is no problem at all. The one thing I did not like about our stay was the bathroom. It was amazingly small. Tough to move around, impossible to shave one's legs. Washing your face in the sink results in lots of splashing. And the sink's cold water was a trickle. So the bathroom was a downer. But other than that a lovely stay.

We were able to make last minute reservations with ease. Although we could only stay one night, and the Victoria normally requires two nite stays, John was very accomodating and took our reservation. The Victoria is a short walk to the beach, and has a wonderful porch and lovely pool, although it does get shady in the later PM [ this might be welcomed after spending the day on the beach on one of those really hot summer days]. There are actually two houses next door to each other [one has the lettered rooms and the other has numbered rooms]. Complimentary bottled water and coffee is always available, as are bikes and beach chairs. Breakfast was very nice...oameal or waffles with blueberries, or both if you liked, as well as cereal, fruit, yogurt.... There is air conditioning, but we lucked out and the breeze in room 1 was so cool, my husband slept with the comforter all night. It was wonderful! Quiet, cool, and the breeze drifting through the windows. We'd certainly visit here again. And if you are there on Wednesday evenings during the summer, there is an outdoor concert in the gazeboo that you probably could hear while rocking on the porch with a chilled chardonay! Good Times!

I highly recommend this B&B for anyone who wants the perfect place to stay at LBI. We had two rooms with our teenage daughter and her friend. I had the best time - our hosts made us feel welcome and comfortable. The wrap around porches are wonderful and inviting, with wicker furniture and hammock. The pool is in a quiet garden setting - no hustle and bustle of motel pools with kids jumping in and splashing. The beach is steps away with first class beach chairs and bikes supplied by our hosts. The rooms are perfect - large, furnished in lovely Victorian style. Centrally located in Beach Haven, you can walk to everything. Lemonade and cakes in the afternoon on the porch - sigh...wish I was back there now! Can't wait to come back next year!

This b & b looked great when i found it online. I had not been on vacation with my husband in 2 years so this was a very important trip for us. It was well worth sending our three year old to grandma & grandpa's for a few days!! When we arrived it met & exceeded all our hopes & expectations and we had a great time celebrating our 7 year anniversary Beach all day, bike riding in the early evening, swimming in the pool, great bars & restaurants right there! We didn't have to use our car at all!
The rooms are beautiful. We stayed 1 night in Room D & 3 nights in the Bayside Cottage.I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere cleaner!!It was the ideal get away for us!Thank you to everyone at the Victoria for making our vacation so wonderful!
