We called last minute and they were able to seat all 16 of us across two tables. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, however the food was ordinary, but on average i was about $32 per person without tip for appetizers, soft drinks and entrees. It is a BYOB, so that's a plus; but I don't think I'd go back anytime soon.

In all the years we've gone to LBI, we never went to Calabria's so we thought we'd try it on our last night on the Island for a quick Italian meal. What a mistake. We were seated immediately and had to wait a few minutes because they didn't have enough menus. We should have taken that as an omen and left. Instead, we ordered after we got our menus and then sat about 45 minutes waiting for our order. The waitress came by a few times to tell us that we'd get our food "soon" but that there was a very big order placed before ours. I'm not sure whether this meant the kitchen couldn't handle both orders at the same time or what that meant. She was very flippant about it and was not at all apologetic and couldn't tell us how long it would be. When the food finally came, a total of about an hour after we arrived, it was poorly prepared. Since there was no entree item of pasta and meatballs, I had to order pasta and a side of meatballs. The 2 meatballs tasted like they had been frozen and the pasta sauce was tasteless. My son ordered lasagna but they ran out (this was at 7pm) so he had a gnocchi with cold ricotta (instead of warmed) and tomato sauce which was terrible. My daughter had filet of sole Florentine, which was delivered several minutes after our entrees. Meanwhile we waited until she was served to eat while our food was cooling. When the waitress gave us our check, there was no apology or any recognition of what a terrible experience we had. We will never go back.

We did take out so I can't comment on the service but we loved both the meals we ordered. We had veal parm and chicken parm. The portions were very large, enough for splitting or leftovers. Their sauce was delicious. It was a little pricey but worth the splurge.

Not a bad item on the menu and if it isn't on the menu yet will still make it for you. Hands down the best food and best value on LBI and the pizza is also great.

Good Variety of Italian food including pizza, pasta, chicken, veal, etc. Generally pretty traditional food without a lot of twists. Good size portions that can even be shared if not a big eater. The clams are a good choice for appetizer (prepared a few different ways). Entrees come with a decent House salad. The pizza is good but on the expensive side for what you get (like most of the rest of the menu). The service is attentive and the place is comfortable but basic. There are also a handful of outside tables that overlook the parking lot. No "value" here but you won't go home hungry or "wowed".
